2 Bucknell University makes its facilities available for rental on a limited basis for use by individuals or outside organizations when students are in residence. The majority of use by outside organizations is limited to the summer, fall and spring break periods. The types of outside organizations eligible to use the University's facilities are primarily non-commercial groups; groups with an educational or cultural purpose, and community-related nonprofit groups. Groups should relate to the mission of the University and must be consistent with Bucknell's non-profit educational status. If the non-university organization is a commercial, private or for-profit entity, its use of Bucknell facilities must be related to educational or charitable purposes. In addition, individuals not affiliated with the University may be able to book weddings and receptions on campus, schedule permitting. All individuals or organizations renting or using Bucknell's facilities for non-bucknell events or programs must file in advance of the activity a certificate of naming the University as an additional insured and obtain a limit of liability appropriate to the activity. 3 Auditorium Size: 50 x 120 Capacity: 450 Throughout; 100 Platform; 350 Theatre seating Located in the heart of Downtown Lewisburg, the Campus Theatre was built in 1941 and is one of the few remaining single screen art deco theatres left in the country. It experienced a $2.5 million restoration and renovation in the summer of The building's finely appointed interior, from its mirrored lobby and lounge furnishings to the wall and ceiling murals and light fixtures, is marked by luxurious Art Deco quality with its rich materials and novel decorative motifs. The ceiling in the auditorium is painted with a minimalist wave pattern and abstracted floral designs influenced by machine geometry. It includes curved walnut wood, art deco glass fixtures and 12-foot high murals. 4 The following spaces are available to rent: Exhibit Gallery: 80 guests for a sit down dinner; 200 guests for a standing reception. The building is 6,500 square feet total. Approximately 2,200 sq ft of this is usable space, the remainder of this space is the exhibit island, where the exhibited animals are. Program Center: 112 guests for a sit down dinner Butterfly Exhibit: Available for walk-through in the months the exhibit it open (typically May through mid-october). No food or drinks in the butterfly exhibit, and it would be a maximum of 50 people at a given time. The exhibit is 1,400 sq ft. Alligator Building: This unique space is also available. Adds approximately 1,750 additional sq ft. This is attached to the exhibit gallery. Parking for 140 vehicles. 10 Historic Warrior Run Church Warrior Run Church is an 1835 brick church, in the Gothic style. It is surrounded by a grove of beautiful shade trees and features a Civil War era cemetery that is open for tours or genealogical research. The church is an original structure and is the perfect venue for weddings, recitals or other family events. It seats 300 with plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to the building. The church is available by contract. It is a state historic site and state guidelines must be followed. The grounds and ceremony are open to the public daily and tours of the church may be arranged. 11 A spectacular view overlooks the winery including the Susquehanna River, Millersburg, and the surrounding mountains. The Wedding Pavilion at Hunters Valley Winery is 60 by 40 and has a connecting 15 by 20 rustic pavilion. The Wedding Pavilion has roll-down curtains that provide a shield from wind and rain while allowing maximum view of the outdoors. It can comfortably seat 150 and is an excellent venue for weddings, receptions, and reunions. There are separate complete bathrooms for women and men adjacent to the pavilion. 13 The Mifflinburg Buggy Museum is a modern facility surrounded by history. The Museum s Degensteain Auditorium is used for programs, special events and temporary exhibits. The Sheary Gallery holds the Museum exhibit on Mifflinburg and buggy making and can be utilized for theater productions. The Auditorium holds people theater style or 32 people classroom style. The Gallery holds people theater style. The Visitor Center is handicapped accessible and contains restrooms, a gift shop and a kitchen. The Museum owns rectangular tables and 75 chairs that can be used at no additional cost. While the Museum does not have an in-house caterer, it has worked with many local restaurants and caterers. The grounds of the Museum, on both sides of Green Street are also available for use. Alcohol is not permitted in the Museum buildings or on the grounds. 15 Miriam Fisher Terrace, located behind the Tour Center Building, comfortably seats 75 for a large event such as a wedding. The grassy lot behind Cherry Alley is also available and has space for tent set-up. Second Floor meeting room in the Tour Center building can seat 30 people in rows, or 20 with tables as a conference set-up. The Museum Library can seat 15 comfortably in conference or row seating.
