Guðna Axelssyni um Eintök af sumum skýrslanna eiga að vera til á Íslenskum orkurannsóknum, Orkustofnun, Háskólabókasafni (einkum í ritagjöf erfingja Gunnars), og/eða hjá orkufyrirtækjum. Listinn var endurbættur í júlí 2011 og aftur í desember Hann er eflaust ófullkominn, en ætti að varpa ljósi á hin fjölþættu störf Gunnars að orkumálum. Það var lagt fram á Alþingi 1956 (þingskjal 387, Alþingistíðindi A2, s ásamt 6

7 greinargerðum ) en varð ekki útrætt. Það var aftur lagt fram 1957 (Alþingistíðindi A1, ) en varð heldur ekki útrætt. Lög um jarðhitasjóð og jarðboranir ríkisins sem samþykkt voru 1961, hafa e.t.v. byggt á frumvarpinu. Gunnar sat í orðanefnd Kjarnfræðanefndar Íslands, sem samdi kafla 07 um Rafagnatækni, s í Raftækni- og ljósorðasafni útg. af Menningarsjóði G.B.: Íslenzkun entrópíu.
