We offer a variety of historic lodges and cabins for your event in a beautiful, private, and natural setting. Camp Namanu is the perfect space for your Youth Group Event, Corporate Retreat, or Team Building Day. This guide will show you the beauty, simplicity, and magic that Camp Namanu has to offer! You can add additional program areas and activities to make your event more fun for more people! Raker Lodge, capacity 300 Raker Lodge is the primary dining and meeting hall at Camp Namanu.

2 Group & Program Spaces Camp Namanu offers a variety of Lodges and Meeting Spaces to accommodate your program. Building capacities range from 300 to a dozen, so your event, large or small will be comfortable and special. You can add additional program areas and activities to make your event more fun for more people! Raker Lodge, capacity 300 Raker Lodge is the primary dining and meeting hall at Camp Namanu. It can accommodate up to 300 diners, or half as many folk dancers. Ample electric lighting provides a healthy atmosphere for meals and programs. The Lodge has electric heat and two fireplaces that can make this a cozy retreat on cold, wet days. The kitchen is equipped with a large grill, Hobart dishwasher, walk-in refrigerator, freezers, an ice machine, ovens, and mixers. Inside Raker Lodge Raker Lodge

3 Uncle Toby s Story House Uncle Toby s Story House, capacity 300 Uncle Toby s is a beautiful, historic open-air Lodge with ample room for up to 300. It includes a stage, complete with back-stage areas, and a proscenium arch of sorts. A beautiful stone fireplace projects its warmth onto the main floor, with a smaller fireplace in an upper loft area. Uncle Toby s has electricity with outlets. What can one not do in Uncle Toby s? 4 Blue Wing Lodge, Capacity 55 Blue Wing Lodge is adjacent to our four Blue Wing Cabins, The Lodge serves as the perfect meeting space for Blue Wing Cabin residents. It is cozy with electricity and a stone fireplace. A multi-purpose lodge not available for sleeping, Blue Wing Lodge has a bathroom and kitchen space. Balagan Lodge, Capacity 20 The Balagan Lodge is a log cabin that has potential sleeping space for up to six. It does not have electric heat, though it has a rather large fireplace. Balagan Lodge commands an expansive view of the Sandy River. Nature House, Capacity 20 Completed in 1949 the Camp Namanu Nature House is set beside the stream that feeds the duck pond. Beautiful stonework creates a small veranda, and is set into a handsome fireplace.

Overnight Spaces Camp Namanu can sleep up to 300 people comfortably.

Ginny s Lodge has two handicapped accessible bathrooms with showers, and a full kitchen big enough to cook for 50.

A-Frame, Capacity 12 The A-Frame is a multi-purpose building that includes a bathroom and a kitchenette. There is ample sleeping space for 12.

5 Overnight Spaces Camp Namanu can sleep up to 300 people comfortably. Whether you need a cabin for 24, or room enough for 240 we have you covered. Mix and match buildings, or reserve the entire site! Take a look at some of our most popular Overnight Spaces. Ginny s Lodge, Capacity 20 A great meeting space or residential cabin. Two small private bedrooms serve to keep the snorers from waking the rest of the group, or give that added bit of personal space. Ginny s Lodge has two handicapped accessible bathrooms with showers, and a full kitchen big enough to cook for 50. A wood stove, tables and benches for 30, and a large covered front porch await your guests. A-Frame, Capacity 12 The A-Frame is a multi-purpose building that includes a bathroom and a kitchenette. There is ample sleeping space for 12. A cozy fireplace helps keep this space friendly and warm. Tawanka, Capacity 12 This charming a-frame has a lovely back porch with a view of the Sandy River. 6 Blue Wing Cabins, Capacity 14 each These 4 beautiful and extremely comfortable cabins are our newest accommodations. Built in the spring of 2008, these cabins were designed specifically for our younger Camp Namanu summer campers and have an interior bathroom and shower. The cabin sleeping space is separated into sleeping pods with 2-6 beds in each area which offers additional privacy. Sherwood Cabins, Capacity 14 each These 7 cabins are warm and cozy with one semi-private area for staff living quarters. There are a number of campfire rings located around the Sherwood cabins. Each Sherwood cabin is just a short walk to the Robin Hill Suzie (Bathhouse).

Balagan Tree Houses, Capacity 6-8 Our 4 Balagan tree houses perched above the Sandy River are a special and unique feature of Namanu.

Pioneer Cabins, Capacity 6-10 7 Pioneer cabins sleep from six to ten each.

7 Open Air Cabins An overnight at Camp Namanu brings you closer to the outdoors. Our open air cabins and tree houses allow you to hear the rush of the Sandy River, the calls of owls, and the wind in the trees. Balagan Tree Houses, Capacity 6-8 Our 4 Balagan tree houses perched above the Sandy River are a special and unique feature of Namanu. These beautiful structures are coveted by our oldest campers, and provide shelter from the rain while immersing occupants in the surrounding lush, green rainforest. Pioneer Cabins, Capacity Pioneer cabins sleep from six to ten each. All Pioneer cabins are covered and many have three walls and one open side, often with a view of the Sandy River. They do not have electricity or heat, but do bring back the frontier spirit with names like Wild Bill Hickock and Annie Oakley. Kiwanis Cabins, Capacity 10 Each These eight-sided cabins are the very newest cabin group to be built at Camp Namanu! Each of the 5 cabins has beds enough for 10, and a large table for meetings and games.

8 Robin Hill Cabins, Capacity 10 These 7 open air cabins are great for accommodating campers during late spring and early fall when a heated space is not needed. Robin Hill cabins keep campers sheltered yet in touch with the surrounding world. Kiwanis Lodge, Capacity 22 Designed by the famous Portland Architectural firm of A. E. Doyle and Associates, Kiwanis Lodge is a beautiful and remarkable space. This two-story structure has ample space upstairs and down for sleeping of up to 22. There is space downstairs for the whole group to meet in front of the fireplace. The large back porch on Kiwanis lodge is a program space unto itself. Kiwanis Lodge includes a small kitchenette, and a bathroom with showers. Guardians Lodge, Capacity 20 Yet another beautiful building from the drafting tables at A. E. Doyle and Associates, Guardians lodge was designed as a little sister to Kiwanis Lodge. Sleeping space includes 20 total beds, as well as two bathrooms with showers. The main living area is an excellent area for meetings or program activities for up to 20.

We don t have fancy china plates, but we do have the Wild and Scenic Sandy River. At the end of the day gather around the campfire with your closest friends and watch the sparks disappear up into the starry night skies of Oregon. We re not a resort. We re not a hotel. We are 552 acres of magic forest and rustic cabins. When you smell warm fir sap and woodsmoke, or when you hear the wind through the leaves of a big leaf maple tree, you ll remember your special time at Camp Namanu. 11 Some FAQs How much Does a Namanu Rental Cost? You determine the buildings and overnight cabins you need for your program, how many activities you d like to participate in, and how many days/nights you ll need for the best possible experience. Download our Rental Agreement and Rental Spaces and Activities Form to see capacities and prices. Rentals over $7000 have exclusive use of the site, excluding spaces not rented. Can I Have Alcohol at My Event? No. Camp Namanu is a camp for children, we have a strict no alcohol policy for non-wedding events. When Can I Start Setting Up and When do We Leave? Most weekend rental groups are allowed on-site by 4PM on Friday. All groups must be off-site by 11AM Sunday. If your rental is not over a weekend, please check with the Rental Manager for arrival and departure times. Other arrangements may be made on a case by case basis. How Do I Arrange a Tour? Call or our Registsrar at or rentnamanu@campfirecolumbia.org When Can I Have My Event at Camp? Camp Fire Columbia runs summer camps for children at Namanu from June through August every year. Our rental seasons are March-May, and September-November, subject to availability. Check our Rental Calendar at to see available dates. Can I Come to Namanu For Just the Day? Absolutely! We rent buildings for Day Events like picnics and Family Reunions. We offer Challenge Course days for corporate and youth groups, as well as Adventure days for adults and families.
