1 Camp Small Valley 88 Hemlock Road Halifax, PA Founded in 1955, Camp Small Valley is nestled on 762 acres in the wooded hills of upper Dauphin County about 30 miles north of Harrisburg. Accommodations range from modern year-round heated units to rustic cabins and tents. Opportunities abound with exploration and wildlife. The camp can accommodate up to 294 people in the summer, with room for 100 additional people in tents in the fields if established units are full, and 150 in the winter. There is also space available for up to 500 people for daytime events. Details about available rental facilities are listed below. Contact List: 1. Please review this information before your stay at Camp Small Valley. Check in/check out information Camp Small Valley s ranger lives on the campsite. Units will be open when your group arrives. If you are renting additional equipment, the ranger will be in touch with you prior to your camping trip. Contact the camp ranger directly if assistance is needed on the day of camp/upon your arrival. At the earliest, check in is at 3pm and check out by 1pm. Before leaving camp, please clean up using the checklist on the campsite report. Sign and leave report in your unit for the Ranger.

9 Departure Checklist Please wait to be checked out by the Site Host or Ranger. If no one is available, please make sure you have checked all of the following that apply before you leave. ALWAYS LEAVE A CAMPSITE BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT. Clean the inside of the building by sweeping and mopping the floors Remove all food from refrigerators (do NOT turn off) Turn back thermostat in heated buildings to 55 degrees (if applicable) Scrub benches, tables, and counter tops in unit houses or kitchen shelters. Clean restroom facilities including toilets and/or latrines. Let indoor fireplace fires burn out naturally. Throwing water on them causes breakage to grates and Irons. Use only wood indoors. Never use charcoal indoors. Clean fireplaces distribute cold ashes in woods. Sweep tent and shelter floors. Put the sweepings in the trash (not outside your tent/ground) Leave tents with corners laced, flaps tied in bow, tent corners and tent flaps not tied to supporting beam. (Tents hold up in bad weather this way.) Be sure all inside and outside spigots are turned off. Close and lock all doors and windows, turn off lights. Return borrowed equipment or tools to proper place. Oil (clean) all cast iron skillets to prevent rust. Take all trash and recycling to designated dumpster(usually next to the dining hall/parking lot, separate when applicable) Fill out Campsite Report and leave in unit for Ranger. *By signing this campsite report, you have confirmed that the check list has been completed and the site was left in better condition than you found it. Leaving a campsite untidy, may result in loss of deposit.
