Knowing the faculties and it being winter the chapter had gladly accepted the invitation. The meeting starting times had also been moved forward to a warmer part of the day being 15h00 for 15h30 sharp. The weather however decided to play its role for change and it turned out a lovely warm afternoon with a colder air greeting us in the evening after the sun had gone down. A convoy of 6 Cagers had left Carletonville to drive to Opi Plot Randfontein. The Cager in the lead had decided to follow Mr Google blindly and as the convoy turned into Betty Street had gone off track and had to backtrack to meet up with the rest of the convoy who had relied on memory from a previous visit. All members who had confirmed their attendance were on site early. After the meeting closed at 16h25 the braai fire was started first followed by the starting of the pit fire which was to ward off the cold evening air. [Continue on Page 3] Page 2

Photo Below: The Ladies who had catered by supplying the side dishes and puddings for the Banquet. What a feast it was too. The Ladies were also quietly discussing the menu for the next Monthly Meeting & Social. The men were told that it would not be a Braai and that was final. Gert please take Note: No Braaiers. When asked what they had decided upon, they answered For Them to Know and For The Men To Find Out at the Next Function also that the men should not to forget to bring a full wallet in the pocket. At least we know it will be a meal that will be purchased to cover the costs and hopefully leaving a small profit which can go into the Chapter Kitty. Talk during the meal time was that Braais being our SA tradition are great. However there is always far too much food and that is funny enough also a SA Tradition. It was noted that as a Bike Association the only person to arrive at the Meeting and Social was Harold the Chapter Vice. On his Bmw K1200S with his meat and drinks etc packed onto a soft cooler and strapped to the pillion seat. Then on the members hearing that Boyd had also ridden out to the venue on his newly acquired Harley Fat Bob they dropped everything and went across to the garage to get a closer look and hear the sound of the pipes. Boyd informed the members that after selling his last Harley some time back after deciding to reduce the number of bikes parked in his garage that he had discovered that he missed having a Harley in the collection so he went out looking and came away with a Fat Bob. Photo on the Right: Petro, who has just passed her Learners License recently and is in the market for a bike, immediately noted the lower seat on the Harley and asked if she could sit on it. Well it was a perfect fit. No wonder so many ladies purchase Harlies. Gert just quietly looked on but nearly choked when his daughter stated not only One Harley needed but Two. She would also like one. Ouch that was a tuff one to manage. Watch this space... Page 4

5 This SPCA Charity Run was discussed at the Monthly Meeting and will be the event the West Wits will definitely support as a Chapter. Hanelie will get back with prices of 25kg Dog Food Bags and then each Family who would like, can purchase a bag. The bags will be dropped off at Belinda & Philip s home where Philip has offered his Kombi as the transport to take the bags to the Event on the day. Thanks Hanelie, Belinda & Philip. Diarise Important Dates Specs is going to take the lead on this Potjie Kos competition and will be getting back with more info so the Chapter can enter. Let as many as possible support Specs in which ever way we can.
