I guess we had too much holiday. Tallahassee was a laid back Rally with the following members present: Brien and Brenda Vincent, Bob Shumaker, James and Sandra Walters, Terry and Barbara Taylor, Eric and Lynda Schraut, Bud and Judy Wilhour, and Laverne Toivonen and Sam Lewis. While we were a small group, we did have a good time. Mardi Gras was the theme for this rally and beads, masks, etc. were the costume of the day. Our flea market went well with members doing their Spring cleaning a little early with the chapter yielding the benefits. We accomplished our first Fuzzy Pucker initiation. What fun we had! We did have a lot of help from Florida Staff and hopefully we will be pros next time. I sent out a copy of the group picture that was taken at the December party; it is an 8 X 10 photo and I am asking you to make a copy for yourself, if you wish. If you don t have a jpeg file of this picture, let me know and I will resend it to you. March birthday wishes go to Erick Schraut, Joe Johnson, and Joyce Enos. Anniversary wishes go to Terry and Barbara Taylor. In March, our chapter will be attending the rally in Perry, Georgia on March 22-25, The theme for this rally is, Around the World Tour. We will be decorating our table with items appropriate to the theme. Please check the new member roster for any additions or corrections. Keep a copy of the Wagon Master s page as well as the Events Calendar. Make your reservations for the Okeechobee Rally. Terry and Barbara Taylor are our hosts for the May campout and asked that you should contact Jenny Ridge Venue & RV Park, 2790 S. 2 nd St., Folkston, GA 31537, ( ). See you in Perry, President Judy
2 Wagon Master s Log for March December, 2018 JAMES WALTERS Good Sam defines Caravan as three or more rigs traveling together to a Rally. Each state has its own patch for caravan, and additional caravans to that state earn a satellite patch to accompany the initial patch. Caravans to local camp outs do not qualify for a patch but they make travel more fun and safer in the fact that you are not traveling alone in case of trouble. The longer the distance traveled, the more the need to caravan for safety. March 21(EB)*-25, 2018, Georgia Spring Rally, Perry, GA. This will be a caravan trip with the rendezvous point at the rest area on I-10 near Lake City, FL. Departure time is 0930 AM. Travel time will adjusted to two-hour blocks of time with rest stops between. April 17(EB)-22, 2018, Florida Spring Rally in Okeechobee, FL. This will be a caravan trip with an alternate Wagon Master, as I will be travelling to the rally Sunday, April 15 th to serve on the Audit Team. May 17(EB)-21, 2018, Chapter Campout at Jenny Ridge Venue & RV Park, Folkston, GA. Terry and Barbara Taylor will be our hosts. Contact information is Jenny Ridge Venue & RV Park, 2790 S. 2 nd St., Folkston, GA 31537, ( ) June 14-16, Jerry & Susan Guthmiller and Eric & Lynda Schraut are the hosts. Details will be announced as available. July 19-22, Hosts and location to be determined. August 16-20, Hosted by Chapter Staff, traditionally at Kelly s Countryside RV Park, Callahan, FL. A new location will be announced as we get closer to August. September 14-17, Hosts and location to be determined. Possible substitution may be Georgia s Fall Rally. October, Details of our annual long distance campout have not been determined. November 14-19, 2018, Florida Fall Rally, Eustis, FL.
