3 Secretary: Barb Harris Minutes of Meeting Winnipesaukee H.O.G. Chapter 2529 Meeting July 13, 2014 The meeting was called to order at 9:05 am by Assistant Director Tony Cardoza followed by the Pledge of Allegiance after a word from our Official Greeter. Tony recognized and welcomed new members present and the Minutes were approved. Membership : Fran reported on our total members of renewals and 4 new members and 14 renewals processed since last meeting and the new member that joined today, T J Labonte from Alexandria is our 200th member and was recognized as such. Michele recruited T J during bike week to join Ladies of Harley. Good job Michele. Treasurer s Report: Skip shared income and expenses since last meeting. Report available at front table for member viewing. Ride Committee: Carl reported on the ride schedule and that it is in full swing. Only a couple had to be postponed or cancelled due to weather etc. Ride attendance is anywhere from 4 to 20 bikes depending on the weather and circumstances. He feels that overall attendance is down this year from last and asked for feedback. A long discussion ensued regarding the length of the rides etc. Many opinions were shared and considered. The information is kept updated nicely by Carl. Another reminder to the group that overnight rides require advanced planning and booking of reservations. Information is now available for all of the overnight rides at the Chapter meetings, Facebook Page, Website etc. If you have not yet booked your reservations the rooms may no longer be held for our group and may be selling out. Barb indicated that rooms are still available in Presque Isle and Brewer for the 8/1-2 Madawaska Trip info can be found on the website. Room blocks have been released. Fran shared the plans for the ride he is leading to Bar Harbor 9/5-7. Rooms information is available on the website. Be sure to bring your passport and Canada Card showing your motorcycle insurance as the group plans to venture into Canada to explore Campobella Island. Alternative riding routes are available for those not wanting to go into Canada. The Mohawk Trail and into Stowe Vermont including Smugglers Notch for those that dare is scheduled for 8/ Again, hotel information is available on the website. Don t wait to register. NH/VT Rally It appears that only Judy & Bob Dunlap and Carl & Barb Harris are planning to attend the Rally. Rooms are still available if you are interested in going. 4 Continued from pg. 3 Bob Dunlap shared the plans for today s ride with the group and completed the pre-ride information and sign-ups. The ride is leaving at 10:30 am and is going directly to the Fells for a $10 ($8 for seniors) walking tour of the grounds. This will be followed by lunch at McKenna s in New London. ( Passports needed if you are planning to go on this ride ) Leave Friday Sept. 5 from LHD at 8 am Return Sunday Sept. 7 Leisurely breakfast and return to Meredith.
