2 About CCV Welcome to the Annual CCV Awards Dinner and, on behalf of Chairman, Ian Johnson, the Directors and staff, I thank you for attending and hope you have a memorable evening. The awards are split into three groups to allow for entertainment and chat time at tables, while the more energetic can party on with dancing after the awards. This year we have had more nominations than ever before and we thank each club for going to the trouble to enter. Congratulations to the finalists the competition has never been so strong, so being a finalist is a particularly significant achievement. Clubs can be very proud of what they do apart from the obvious sporting, cultural and social opportunities they provide for the community not-for-profit clubs make a $1billion social contribution annually to Victoria, employ over 27,000 people and have a total membership of 2.3 million. Tonight, we celebrate those clubs, officials, members and staff that are at the heart of their Victorian communities. A big thank you to all of our Partner organisations for their support of CCV and our network of clubs over the year, and our special thanks to those who provided product for tonight s dinner: Carlton and United Breweries, Treasury Wine Estate and Coca-Cola Amatil.
