College of Heralds will not permit a Reporting Branch to register a name. July 1988 First regularly published newsletter appears - the "Avacal Regional News". January 1989 Province of Saskatchewan becomes part of the Kingdom of An Tir and the Avacal Reporting region. The following branches are added to Avacal: - Shire of Myrgan Wood - Shire of Valley Wold July 1991 South-east portion of British Columbia becomes part of Avacal, adding the following: - Incipient Shire of Loch D'orr November 16, 1991 Their Majesties Tjorkill and Hlutwige granted Avacal Crown Principality status and declared themselves Avacal's first Prince and Princess. January 1992 Northern area of British Columbia becomes part of Avacal, adding the following: - Incipient Shire of Cold Keep April 1992 Name "AVACAL" registered in the College of Heralds Incipient Shire of Loch D'orr elevated to full shire status in the Kootenay region of British Columbia. September 1992 Incipient Shire of Sigelhundas elevated to full shire status in the area of Regina, Saskatchewan.

Avacal officially granted Principality status - Rorkik Gunnarsson and Gwndolyn Gover step up as first Prince and Princess of Avacal. 1. Einar Vikingsson and Svetlana list poll issued asking how people would like to proceed if Avacal were to secede from An Tir. 103 people respond: - Join Wealdsmere and form a new Kingdom 5% (5) - Join Tir Righ (Crown Principality of the North) and form a new Kingdom 14% (14) - Become a Principality of Artemesia 2% (2) - Petition the BoD to see us as a Kingdom in our own right 78% (80) - Become a Principality of the Middle 2% (2) In the interests of pursuing a Kingdom bid a focus was turned on improving the Principality, engaging the populace, and maintaining officer positions. Middle Eastern Easter Ithra - Shire of Loch D'orr Avacal hosts Kingdom A&S Championship - Barony of Montengarde. Region of Medicine Hat granted incipient shire status 15. Steinn Vikingsson and Gemma Meena After a polling of the populace, it is decided that the cantons of the Barony of Borealis would break up into independent areas to pursue their own growth. The following shires are created: - Shire of Vatnsdair (Edmonton) - Shire of Bordergate (Cold Lake) - Shire of Vinjar (Grande Prairie)

March 2012 Avacal contacts Society Seneschal to get more information on becoming a Kingdom, and to get confirmation that Avacal has Society's support for moving forward. April 2012 Re-engagement process begins to get the populace informed and enthusiastic about the move to Kingdom; work begins on updating Principality Heraldry, as well as potential Kingdom level awards. April 2012 Spring Grande THUA session held - Barony of Montengarde July 2012 August An informal online polling shows a huge majority of the populace in favour of proceeding with the Kingdom bid. 33. Einar Vikingsson and Sadb Ingen Thuathil Spring Grande THUA session held - Barony of Borealis Avacal College of Heralds officially begins accepting heraldry submissions. The SCA BoD grants Avacal permission to move forward in its Kingdom bid, and to conduct a formal polling to determine if Avacal will advance as a Kingdom. 35. Ellias and Keira Torynsdottir Avacal holds official polling of the populace to determine its will to move forward as a Kingdom. Polling results returned as inconclusive as Avacal did not return a representative number of ballots to reflect the opinions of her populace. Avacal is told to refocus, develop an open dialogue and re-poll within 6 months. Avacal augments its arms to include a crown, the blazon to read: Quarterly argent and Or, a griffon rampant, on a point pointed gules a crown within a laurel wreath Or. Society College of Heralds approves the names for proposed Kingdom of Avacal grant level awards, as follows: - Order of the Red Horse - Order of the White Scarf of Avacal - Order of the Sable Axe - Order of the Winged Lynx - Order of the Argent Flame Avacal begins a large scale communication campaign to educate its people on the issues involved with moving towards Kingdom status; importance is laid on everyone's opinions being addressed, regardless of which way they want to see things go. Avacal endorses and adopts the changes to the Charter of the Order of the Grey Goose Shaft, which recognizes all members of equivalent orders from other Kingdoms as having full order membership rights. 36. Toryn Davinsson and Evja Torynswiffe Avacal College of Heralds submits the following badges to correspond to the approved award names (approval pending as of November 2014): - Quarterly argent and Or, a horse rampant and a bordure gules - Quarterly argent and Or, on a lozenge gules a maunch argent, a bordure gules - Quarterly argent and Or, a battleaxe bendwise sable and a bordure gules - Quarterly argent and Or, a winged lynx statant coward and a bordure gules - Quarterly argent and Or, on a lozenge gules a beacon argent, a bordure gules

Results of the second polling announced: 84% of populace responds; 85% of respondents in favour of moving to an independent Kingdom 37. Kvigr Ivarsson and Svava Suanhuita Fall Grande THUA session held - Shire of Sigelhundas Region of Lethbridge granted status of Incipient Shire of Windwyrm at the hand of HM King Styrkaar. Avacal will present her formal bid package to the SCA BoD to become Kingdom.
