3 Regional funding On 1 February 1987, the Regional Funding Program was launched. Since then it has been supporting initiatives and projects of its partners in areas such as consultancy, funding and co-financing with the help of EU funding. Under the Regional Funding Program, As part of our regional funding efforts, we back businesses, local authorities, initiatives and associations as well as individuals with project initiatives that contribute positively to the regional economy. Projects supported are anchored in and connected to the regions. They utilize regional resources, resulting in both added value and the creation and safeguarding of jobs in the regions. The ecoplus Regional Funding Program may include funding from the EU Rural Development Fund (LE/LEADER ). In just a decade, Therme Laa has developed into a comprehensive spa resort with more than four million visitors.
