I would like to present you our mountain village: Those who have seen Alpbach know why this village was chosen as "the most beautiful floral village of Europe" and "the most beautiful village of Austria. The unique wood construction of Alpbach and the great mountain scenery of Alpbach valley harmonize in a special manner with the architecture of the Alpbach Congress Centrum. Because of its Green Globe certification and its Austrian Eco- Label, the Congress Centrum Alpbach is the leading provider for green meetings in Austria. ALPBACH EUROPEAN FORUM Thanks to its biggest and, at the same time, most known event (since 1945), Alpbach could develop into an internationally successful destination for congresses and meetings. In the meantime, more than participants from over 60 countries come to the Alpbach European Forum in the Tyrolian mountain village every year. About 20 years later, building regulations were introduced stipulating that houses could only be built using traditional wood construction. The village has taken advantage of this rule ever since. In this way, every visitor directly feels the incredible charm of this village. Alpbach is situated in the Kitzbühel Alps in the inner Alpbach valley at the foot of the mountain Gratlspitz which is metres high. The district Inneralpbach forms the end of the valley. The village fits harmoniously into the Alpine scenery. Several activity programmes are offered during both summer and winter. Excursion destinations such as Achensee lake (30 minutes), Swarovski crystal worlds (30 minutes) or the Tyrol federal capital Innsbruck are almost around the corner In this authentic Tyrol mountain village, different locations offer perfect conditions for traditional cottage evenings, glamorous gala events, private village parties and so to speak, you get directly onto the ski slope. 6 Your localities COTTAGE. ALP. RESTAURANT. MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT HORNBODEN The mountain restaurant Hornboden is situated on the mountain Wiedersberger Horn at m. A 15 minutes ride with the ropeway brings you closer to your traditional cottage evening. It is possible to serve Champagne in the ropeway on your way up to the top. Once you arrived on the top, you only have to walk another 100 m before you reach the mountain restaurant. Landlord Jakob Larch will spoil you with his excellent regional cuisine. Up to 800 guests can dine on two floors. By adding a tent up to 950 persons can fit in. THE BISCHOFERALM Equipped for 100 persons, one can really experience with the Kostenzer family what Hüttengaudi" (party in the cottage) means. Situated slightly at the southern slope, you can easily reach this traditional venue by bus. During wintertime you can combine the journey with a 2 km torch walking tour. BÖGLERHOF The romantic hotel Böglerhof ****S is situated in the heart of Alpbach and has several restaurants for company events. Up to 180 persons can be served in different cosy rooms. A tent with 25 x 70 m can be set up at the parking area of the Pöglbahn. The grove, over which the tent is set up, provides a unique atmosphere! The toilet facilities of the Pöglbahn can be used. THE SCHAFALM is a unique hey barn above the Congress Centrum Alpbach and now used for meetings and seminars. Here, people can find absolute silence for maximum concentration. Technology and catering is organized by the romantic hotel Böglerhof ****S. CONGRESS CENTRUM ALPBACH The Congress Centrum Alpbach (CCA) is ideal for meetings and seminars up to 900 persons. An assembly room for 750 persons, ten seminar rooms for 20 to 500 persons, two foyers for exhibitions and catering as well as a southern terrace (ideal for the village reception) offer sufficient space in the centre of Alpbach (about m 2 ). Further exhibition possibilities are the adjacent subterranean garage (parking spaces for 190 cars and 5 busses) which can be used as a fair hall.
