2 2 THE BEACH AT IBC2018 The renewed event venue next to RAI Amsterdam. The Beach reopened its doors on the 1st of May The wooden pavilions made way for a large complex on the east side of the pond, which is home to the restaurant and various rooms for events. The Beach is Amsterdam s summer destination where you can enjoy a craft beer on the terrace, dinner in the restaurant or an industry networking event in one of the private areas. By facilitating more than 300 events per year, our team has built up vast knowledge that has been used to inform the development of the new Strandzuid. The result is a venue with multifunctional rooms, multiple outdoor spaces and all necessary facilities for an unforgettable event. The RAI venues remain the preferred choice for exhibitors when hosting events during IBC. Compared with venues in the city centre, the RAI event venues allow you to arrange an earlier start time and offer your current and prospective clients a relaxed and welcome experience only a few steps away from the busy exhibition halls. When combined with the exhibitor support provided making events much easier to organise, the Beach is the ideal venue for all your IBC event requirements! 4 34 RESTAURANT Located on the waterfront in the southern half of the pavilion, The Restaurant consists of a modern spacious room with a large bar and modular design. The Restaurant has a large terrace on the banks of the Beatrix Park pond. The restaurant is suitable for larger indoor bookings which also require outdoor space, both benefitting from incredible views. The modular design allows for bespoke meetings and parties and the high quality menu is infinitely flexible, catering for all requirements. 5 5 THE BOAT HOUSE Our biggest indoor event venue is The Boat House, located on the waterfront next to The Restaurant. The space has a warm, open atmosphere and uses a lot of glass, a perfect link with the outside. The Boat House is in direct contact with the kitchen for large seated meals and has its own bar and toilets for a more exclusive feel. The indoor capacity of The Boat House is 500 people, but in combination with its terrace this can be increased easily. If necessary the Boat House can be adjoined to The Restaurant to instantly double the indoor capacity for an impressive large-scale event. As always, we are very flexible and can also format the Boat House for smaller more intimate parties or morning meetings. 6 3 6 THE BEACH HOUSE The second room for events is The Beach House, located at the entrance of The Beach and surrounded by stunning beach scenery. Set away from the busier main structures and with its own bar and terrace, this is a more relaxed and comfortable space for groups of up to 200 people. Inside you ll experience a typical summer atmosphere, with playful elements and greenery. The furniture has a standard layout with several sitting areas, but can be adjusted as desired. The Beach House is available for events from 16:30-00:00 or 07:00-11:00. We would encourage early booking as the Beach House is a particularly popular venue. 7 3 77 THE DOCK BAR, THE BEACH BAR & PLAYGROUND When the sun is shining there is nowhere better for get-togethers and barbecues than the Dock Bar; a beach and kitchen next to the harbour. This outdoor event space will be partially covered with an elegant tent and is the ideal place for impressive company parties, team building with colleagues, exciting product launches and relaxed presentations. Next to the terrace of the Restaurant and the beach of the Beach House, sits the Beach Bar; an outdoor venue with a standalone bar and kitchen. Just like the Dock Bar, the Beach Bar is perfect for more informal affairs. Previously exhibitors have invited current and potential clients to these smaller casual events where a laid- back atmosphere is important. The bar is surrounded by large high tables and extends onto a strip of beach with cosy furniture, all of which can be used for receptions. Finally, we have the playground. With table tennis, table football and even beach volleyball this is the perfect venue to host exciting events at the end of each exhibition day. The outdoor locations are covered by tent and are available all day for events during IBC2018. The Beach Bar has a non-exclusive capacity of 200 people. The Dock Bar has an indoor and outdoor capacity of 350 people.
