4 ALUMBRA Situated at the end of Central Pier s historic runway and housed in a 1914 heritage-listed cargo shed, Alumbra is an authentic warehouse conversion. Recently refurbished, the New York City inspired interior is complete with exposed brick walls, scaffolding installations, industrial light fixtures and downtown street posters. This alluring waterfront venue is situated in the very heart of Melbourne s Docklands precinct. Valet parking is available on Central Pier. Alumbra is a short stroll from Southern Cross Station and other parking precincts. 7 THE FOOD DANIEL WILSON S NYC STREET EATS Alumbra s philosophy of music, art and culture is brought to life via a foodie partnership with Melbourne master chef, Daniel Wilson. Daniel has accumulated a number of Chef Hats over the years and is best known for Melbourne hotspot Huxtaburger. Daniel brings his memories and love of living in New York City to Alumbra with an innovative menu showcasing his big city favourites including mac n cheese croquettes with chipotle mayo and Buffalo wings with ranch dressing. 8 THE DRINKS The New York City inspired cocktail menu features eight master cocktails, highlighting Alumbra s premium beverage partner, Moët & Chandon. Coupled with this, Alumbra has an extensive selection of champagne, wine, beer, spirits and liqueurs. The cocktail menu has been curated with assistance of Roar Projects beverage director, David Debattista. 11 THE WHOLE VENUE Alumbra features five different spaces for a celebration of any size. The modular design allows the space to be divided into separate rooms, or tailored to an open-plan format. Highlights include an artist stage with green room and two outdoor spaces with views of Central Pier and Victoria Harbour. 12 THE MAIN BAR The waterside Main Bar evokes a feeling of downtown New York with exposed brick, scaffolding and light installations and bold street art. Large glass bi-fold doors provide an open walkway to The Sunset Terrace, offering grand views of Victoria Harbour. On the adjacent side of the room, mock walls reveal an open-plan extension into The Event Space. The doors may be opened to reveal one large room for high foot-traffic events, or closed for more intimate groups and/or a second music offering. The overall space features a fully equipped bar, multiple sit-down areas and two plasma television screens for content projection. 13 THE EVENT SPACE The Event Space is Alumbra s premier and versatile cocktail, dance, conference and dinner space. It features a fully equipped bar, DJ/artist/lectern stage, one hero LED screen for content projection and multiple sit-down areas. The space lends itself well to themed decor including aerial performers, casino nights, ceiling installations and more. CLOAKROOM GREEN ROOM BAR The Event Space has a private entrance with reception and cloakroom. Plus access to the toilet, green room and Harbour Side Terrace. The space can be tailored to suit private to full venue events, through the use of optional bi-fold doors. 14 THE SUNSET TERRACE The Sunset Terrace is one of Melbourne s premier outdoor heritage-listed event spaces. Featuring a lush green wall and decorative festoon lighting. The space holds up to 200 guests as it lies, or 450 when combined with The Main Bar. The Sunset Terrace features 270-degree views of Victoria Harbour and has full bar facilities, an outdoor BBQ kitchen, outdoor heating and oversized umbrellas. 15 THE HARBOUR SIDE TERRACE The Harbour Side Terrace is the newest feature space at Alumbra. Adjacent to The Event Space, the terrace adds a private outdoor space with water views to your event. Equipped with lounge furniture and lush green AstroTurf, this space makes a perfect outdoor lounge or smoking area. The area also has pop-up bar capabilities.
