7 Additional Information Our small town is situated on the A6 between Lancaster and Preston in the shadows of the Bowland Fells and a short drive from all of Lancashire s tourist attractions. This market town once mentioned in the Doomsday Book has a strong farming background and is claimed to be the words first-fair-trade-town. Much like Garstang, our AA 3 star country hotel is set alongside the banks of the River Wyre and Calder and has a deep rooted farming background, these skills of working the land are now put to good use managing the 18 holes of our play and play golf course and ensuring we source the highest quality local produce for your dining experience. Directions The village of Garstang is situated on the B64 which is just off the A6 half way between Junctions 33 (Lancaster) and 32 (Preston) of the M6. If travelling from the north, turn left off the A6 onto the B64 signposted Garstang and continue through the town centre. Best Western Garstang Country Hotel is one mile south of the village. If approaching from the south, pass through Broughton, Barton and Bilsborrow and take the first right after the Esso garage. Look out for the brown tourist attraction sign on the A6.
