2 A State-of-the-Art Congress Centre Pisa Conference Centre is a striking and multifunctional space. It is the perfect facility to experience emotions and organize memorable conferences, meetings, expos etc. This historical space was built in 1984 and since then it has never lost sight of its technological progress. Pisa: Green City The Conference centre is located in an area of great urban regeneration, within walking distance from the green belt of the city, the Viale delle Piagge: a green area along the river Arno banks. The Centre is easily accessible from downtown thanks to the long bicycle lane and the proximity with the main hotels and historical spots can also be accessed with ease. 7 The Infrastructure The Conference Centre offers every sort of service and guarantees the latest technology equipment for your events. The building is located in a historical area, typically Tuscan boasting a wide range of facilities within walking distance. Both organizers and guests can have access to banks, post offices, restaurants, hotels and gadget shops at a few steps away from the structure. The conference centre has a distinctive and unique semicircular shape and terraced gardens. The building is on three floors. The first and the second floor are linked by an inclined glass window. Due to the glass windows, the galleries are naturally well lit. The plenary room can sit up to 1000 people and it has been created as multifunctional space which can be divided into three further sections: auditorium 500 seats and two versatile break out rooms of 250 seats each. The other meeting rooms allow for the implementation of simultaneous events within the same infrastructure.
