7 Lyon, EMC /23 SCIENTIFIC AMBITION the BID committee will be enlarged to a Congress Organization Committee under the auspices of the SFµ and the EMS, in relation with an International Scientific Advisory Committee 7 daily sessions over 5 days Instrumentation Physical Sciences Life Sciences from techniques to methods societal issues from nanotechnology to compounds and systems from macromolecules to cells and organisms one main goal will be to address societal issues and show how multi-disciplinary microscopy can bring answers to ongoing challenges, regarding e.g.: energy, environmental sustainability, health, and cultural heritage

8 Lyon, EMC /23 A CONGRESS for YOUNG SCIENTISTS "Attracting students, young researchers and early career researchers at EMC is a priority for us" Special accommodation in students rooms with low budget will be made available at the National Institute for Applied Science (15 walking distance from the Congress site, on the university Campus Lyon-Tech). supporting Young Scientists The 1800 participants scheme: Expecting 410 YSs (25 % of total delegates) 135 free 33 free admission (33 % of YSs admission + travel scholarship directly supported (budget: about 33 k exc. VAT) by EMC2016) owing to the economic and industrial tissue of the Rhône-Alpes region, we hope private sponsoring for additional dedicated funding (independently of SFµ, EMS - and others scholarships)
