The EVS is considered as a baseline for the research that will be done on Combined Vision (CVS) where more benefits are expected. The results are described in Appendix E. work will be continued on CVS. Work on EVS (AUO-0403) in has been therefore stopped, to focus on Combined Vision in the 9.29 project EXE VP-090 AUO-0403 OFA AUO-0403 OFA Page 4 sur 105

6 AO-0104-A STEP S Airport Safety Nets for Controllers in Step 1 of AO-0104-A will be completed in Release 5 in exercise EXE VP-699, EXE VP-719, EXE VP-679, EXE VP-758 and EXE VP-761. The EXE VP-699 will address this OI Partially. The Release 5 Soln #02 "Airport Safety Nets for controllers: conformance monitoring alerts and detection of conflicting ATC clearances" fully covers this OI step. 7 AO-0105 STEP S Airport Safety Net for Vehicle Drivers The project planned a second exercise (VP-503) as maturity was not achieved in VP-502. Significant coordination work with different SESAR partners on AO-0105 to find a solution to perform validation in SESAR timeframe: Trials are now identified in Release 5 that will validate the SESAR Solution #04 'Enhanced Traffic Situational Awareness and Airport Safety Nets for the vehicle drivers (fully covers AO-0105 & AO-0204)' to detect a risk of collision between a vehicle and surrounding aircraft and the infringement of restricted or closed areas. 8 AO-0201-A STEP S Enhanced Ground Controller Situational Awareness in all Weather Conditions for Step 1 The SESAR Solution "Enhanced Ground Controller Situational Awareness in all Weather Conditions for Step 1" was delivered in the frame of Release 3, and fully covers AO-0201-A. 10 AO-0209 STEP S Enhanced Runway Usage Awareness EXE VP-232 delayed from Release 3 to Release 5. It does not address operational requirements related to crossing runways. Nevertheless, impact assessment made by 6.0, 6.02 and reflects that the gap is not critical. The Release 5 Soln #01 "RunWay Status Lights" partially covers AO EXE VP-232 AO-0209 OFA AO-0209 OFA Page 10 sur 105

11 AUO-0605-A STEP S Airport Safety Nets for Pilots in Step 1 trials currently planned on Traffic Alerts for Pilots (mainline) (AUO-0605-A) It is not in an integrated validation (EXE VP-673). The validation proposed in the Release 5 timeframe covers 'warning' alerts but not 'advisories', nor 'conflicts with vehicles'. The validation was removed from Release 5 since the prototypes used for the validation are not sufficiently mature to be put in an aircraft; and the environment that will be put in place will not be fully representative of an ATM environment. There is no validation activity declared in the VV Roadmap, and no evidence of validation. However, 4.10 plans are to start validation of AOM-0104 at level. Therefore maturity is assessed as achieved based on the information available. There is no validation activity declared in the VV Roadmap, but there is evidence of validation contributing to the maturity assessment, for example, demonstration activities, validation planned via OFA Description forms, OI covered in OSED or VALP. 24 AOM-0605 STEP S Enhanced terminal operations with automatic RNP transition to ILS/GLS/LPV AOM-0605 is assessed as ongoing and ongoing. This is due to the fact that the OI step covers aspects that are at different maturity levels. AOM-0605 covers different aspects that are being validated by projects and : - In Release 1: LPV procedures - In Release 3: RNP transition to GLS performed by (EXE VP-166) - In Release 4: RNP transition to LPV is expected to be delivered in R4 - In Release 5: RNP transition to ILS & GLS aspects will complete End of An issue regarding the transition RNP to ILS is not addressed so far in the programme. - A "paper analysis" is being planned by working with project 09.09, to address RNP to ILS: this work should conclude by the end of 2015, consistent with the PCP timescales; Additional issue: the PCP environment is high traffic density TMA project work has been focused, so far, on medium density TMAs but if the work for the PCP needs to address high-density TMAs then EXE VP-792 () shall focus on a busier TMA. 28 AOM-0500 STEP S Direct Routing for flights both in cruise and vertically evolving for cross ACC borders and in high & very high complexity environments. Some SESAR Solutions are identified as Quick Wins, and additional validation activities would be required to complete the full validation of the corresponding OI step. SJU considers the validation completed in Release 2 (VP-571) as a Quick Win to which the usual -V4 Criteria are not applicable. The SJU will decide on potential for industrialisation of these results responding to local needs and identify any required follow-up actions. The Quick Win is "User Preferred Routing": more than 250 new direct routes (DCTs) ready for implementation inside the UAC Maastricht area of responsibility. AOM-0500 has been partially validated through EXE VP-571 (note that at that time this OI Step did not exist but was understood as part of AOM-0501).
