1 Volume 1 Issue 8 C Surday, Sept 15, 2018 Lee Haak Course Director Burt Lowry Senior Prol Leader Good Morning, By the time you read this we will have all worked to Leave a Legacy here Camp Crown. The next time you visit Crown with your unit be sure to point out the improvements you helped make Miller Cabin today. If your unit rents the cabin be sure and enjoy a campfire your fire ring. Previous Wood Badge courses have established a tradition known as 5 X 5 X 5. Simply this means having your five ticket goals approved and entered into the system by 5 pm on Day 5. We celebre by having an evening for you to relax a little, share some dinner and enjoy a campfire. Please enjoy as it is well deserved. Tomorrow will be our last day together on course. It will be a gre day. Though we will leave to return to our normal lives you will have some new skills to share and some strong new goals to pursue. I m excited, I hope you are too. Regards Lee Haak Course Director Good Morning everyone. I'm not sure if I mentioned this or not, but I am HAVING FUN. Yesterday was a blast wching everyone completing (or trying to complete) those challenges. I just love seeing adults act like kids -- excitement, competition, and even the need for a nap in the afternoon. There is a lot you are learning but hang in there. I suggest th you keep in mind the things you have learned because it is easy to forget things as life happens. During the break I had an opportunity to use some of these skills work. The situion was a little frustring and I realized th I was not practicing wh I was preaching. I stopped, took a break, evalued the situion, and discovered th there was a lack of listening, partly by myself but mainly coming from someone else. Once I figured this out, it was easy to deal with, but without th little evaluion I would have only been frustred. Just to make sure you are getting the hang of being a Wood Badger If you think your spouse s new rock garden would look PERFECT with A CRITTER in it.you might be a Wood Badger. If your baby s first words were, BACK TO GILWELL.you might be a Wood Badger. Have a GREAT day, and remember to have a little fun (actually, make th A LOT OF FUN).
