1 Cruise News February, 2017 Interim-President s Message "Wow, another month has come and gone. Since the last meeting the board has met for a considerable amount of time and we believe we have charted a positive path forward. There will be nominations for the position of president at the February meeting so please make an effort to attend. This past weekend I attended the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona with my grandson. I saw several of our fellow club members there enjoying the show as well. Gary Brown and I parked next to each other outside the Suede Palace. When I returned to my car in the early afternoon I noticed Gary had been notified that he was selected for an award. The GNRS is one of the premier shows in the country and is definitely worth the trip. Another great show, the Goodguys Del Mar show, is just around the corner and I m sure our club members will represent us well to the thousands of car nuts who always show up. Get your cars out and attend a cruise-in and/or one of the major shows, the fun in these cars is in driving them. Thank You, Steve Cushman, Interim President"

CLUB DUES ARE DUE!! Dear OTHG Club Members, We have received another very appreciative THANK YOU letter from Suzanne Porter, CEO of FINAL HONOR. The Streak Committee had set aside $4,000 from proceeds so that they would receive a check every quarter. Our donations help provide the most memorable burial ceremony at Miramar National Cemetery. Suzanne has provided us with dates where the OTHG will be recognized as the Contributors for covering the day s expenses. Those dates are on Mondays, April 3rd, August 7th, and December 4th. Suzanne welcomes all OTHG members to come on those days and pay tribute to the veterans and their family members. Sue Chambers, OTHG Treasurer Please report to the club how much I enjoy the happy encouraging notes and cards and prayers. You give me strength to continue my battle which seems at times to be 1 step forward 2 steps back. I am sure you all know that feeling. When all the miscellaneous issues are resolved I will be happy to return to the flock and have a battle plan. Margaret Stahl "OLD IS WHEN...An "all nighter" means not getting up to pee.
