3 San Diego HomeDex TM Summary Report Single-Family Detached Homes Single-Family Detached Home Prices by Region of San Diego The median-priced single-family detached (SFD) home in San Diego increased four percent, from $450,000 in April to $467,950 in, and increased percent year-over from. 1 North San Diego SFD median price increased 3.83 percent, to $555,500 in from $535,000 in April, and increased percent year-over from. East San Diego median SFD home price increased 6.38 percent, from $345,000 in April to $367,500 in, and increased percent year-over from. South median SFD price increased 5.9 percent, from $373,000 in April to $395,000 in, and increased percent year-over from. 5 San Diego HomeDex TM Summary Report Single-Family Detached Homes Housing in San Diego Single-Family Detached Homes The HomeDex TM affordability index decreased to 36 percent of San Diego households able to afford the county s median-priced SFD home in, compared to 38 percent in April. 2 The North San Diego affordability percentage decreased, from 30 percent in April to 28 percent in. The East affordability level decreased, from 51 percent in April to 47 percent in. South San Diego affordability fell to 44 percent in, from 47 percent in April. 11 San Diego HomeDex TM Summary Report Single-Family Attached Homes Single-Family Attached Home Prices by Region of San Diego The median-priced single-family attached (SFA) home in San Diego increased 5.17 percent, to $305,000 in from $290,000 in April, and increased percent year-over from. 1 The North San Diego monthly median SFA home price decreased 4.55 percent, from $330,000 in April to $315,000 in, but increased percent year-over compared to. The SFA median price in East San Diego increased 6.67 percent, from $165,000 in April to $176,000 in, and increased percent year-over compared to South median SFA price increased percent, from $215,900 in April to $249,000 in, and increased percent year-over compared to. The number of North San Diego sold SFA units increased 5.08 percent from April to, and increased 1.22 percent year-over from East San Diego SFA sold units increased 6.17 percent from April to, but decreased percent year-over from. South San Diego sold SFA units increased percent in from April, and decreased percent year-over from. San Diego Metro SFA sold units increased percent from April to, and increased 18.8 percent year-over from. 13 San Diego HomeDex TM Summary Report Single-Family Attached Homes Housing in San Diego Single-Family Attached Homes The percent of San Diego households able to afford the median-priced SFA home in the county fell from 58 percent in April, to 56 percent in, according to the HomeDex TM affordability index. 2 North San Diego affordability increased, to 55 percent in from 53 percent in April. East San Diego affordability decreased, from 81 percent in April, to 79 percent in. South SFA affordability decreased, from 72 percent in April to 65 percent in.
