3 1. INBOUND TRAFFIC 1.1 General Notes Plan your descend to be at FL150 over VUTEB, DATOB, IMPED and LORID, and at feet over PUVAL. In addition of minimum legal IFR fuel, load an extra fuel of 1 hour (see 1.4 Holdings). 1.2 Active Runway? Normally the runway used for landing is 30L, and in some minor cases 30R. At the event you should expect all runways to be used for landing, and 30R for take-off. This configuration is used till tailwind component up to 10kts with DRY rwy condition (max 5kts in WET/Contaminated rwy condition). 1.3 Entry in UAE Airspace If you are coming from uncontrolled airspaces please contact UAE Centre OMAE_L_CTR below FL250 OMAE_U_CTR above FL250 at least of 25 nautical miles before entering UAE airspace. Don t wait for a force act from the controller! These are some common waypoints that are in UAE boundary and used in airways for inbound flights: OBNET ORSAR GISMO MENSA NALPO ASTOG VAXAS PASOV OBNET PATAT KUSEN SOLUD TAPRA Strictly for Flight Simulation use only Page 3

16 Check accurately your Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and Estimated Off Block Time (EOBT). Keep in mind that it takes about minutes to perform startup, pushback and taxi. For example: ETD at 10:15, start and push must be commenced between 10:00 to 10:05h 2.2 Active Runway OMDB: Normally the runway used for takeoff is 30R. This configuration is used till tailwind component up to 10kts with DRY conditions (max 5kts in WET/Contaminated conditions). OMSJ: Normally the runway used for takeoff is the active runway, most probably RW 30. This configuration is used in coordination with OMDB, so the two airports are must be on the same configuration. OMDW: Normally the runway used for takeoff is the active runway, most probably rwy Pushback operations During the request phase of pushback take care, in according to ground instructions, where you must rotate the aircraft. Here an example of ground instruction: Emirates xxx pushback and start-up approved, face to south-east. This is very important to avoid conflict during ground operations. 2.4 Taxi operations Strictly for Flight Simulation use only Page 16
