Tim Harriss Office Head 2014 marks the 30th anniversary of Knight Frank in Guildford. We are a very established team in Guildford, with a great many years of experience. The sentiment is that we are firmly out of the doldrums with renewed vigour in the market. The London market continues to be as buoyant as ever and we are now starting to feel the knock on effect, with families moving down the A3 corridor to the Guildford area. The main reason for the move is to enjoy all the benefits of living in or near a county town, where some of the South East s most beautiful countryside can be found. We are situated mid-way between London and the South Coast, made all the more easy to reach by the opening of the Hindhead Tunnel. Key factors for wanting to live in this part of are the schools, which feature at the top of the league tables, the commute from the mainline stations offering fast services to London and the historic towns and villages. The office expanded at the end of the year with James Ackerley joining us as Head of the Town Market. He is a brilliant addition to the team and has already proved to be an effective agent. This year we have just opened up a new rental department, headed up by James Brown, who joins us from the Cobham office where he ran a successful team. This is a very exciting new venture for the office and an important addition to our already comprehensive range of services which include Town and Country Sales, Residential Valuation Consultancy, Residential Land, New Homes and Knight Frank Finance. For many, the meteoric rise in the value of their London home in recent years is providing the perfect springboard to greener pastures.
