2 Raising funds for the new Bolton Community Park The Bolton Bunch working towards a new Play Park, in conjunction with Bolton Parish Council and Bolton Memorial Hall Committee Project Co-ordinator: Katrina Nicholson , , nicholson686@btinternet.com Bolton Parish Council: Shelagh Leyland clerkbolton@gmail.com ; project treasurer Bolton Memorial Hall Committee Chairman: Andy Stevens uncleshakin@yahoo.co.uk The Bolton Bunch (a group of volunteers), supported by Bolton Parish Council and the Memorial Hall Committee, is raising funds to replace the existing sad and tired playground with a fun, up-to-date, extended Community Play Park, something like this. The auction is one of an ongoing series of events to help us achieve our target of 60,000. We are well on the way to reaching this, with 32,000 collected or promised already. We are working closely with Eden District Council to ensure a high quality, low maintenance playpark, which will provide a fun, safe environment to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young families in the Bolton area. We have some exciting lots for you and hope you will support our efforts by bidding generously. 4 How to make a bid... On entry you will receive a paper with your bidder s number The auctioneer will announce the Lot number and begin the bidding Hold up your bidding number to make a bid If someone outbids you and you wish to raise your bid, hold up your number again Some bids may have a reserve price if the bidding does not reach that reserve, the lot will be withdrawn Some lots may have sealed bids to be opened on the night- only the auctioneer knows the amount When the bidding has stopped, the auctioneer will announce the final purchase price, and the winning bidder s number If you win a bid. We will record your number and the purchase price against the lot Payment and collection You may pay for your purchase at any time during the evening: the cashiers may be very busy at the end of the auction so please make your payment as early as you can, either after the bid or during the interval. Payment can be by cash or cheque (to Bolton Parish Council) preferably on the night, or by bank transfer within 7 days: bank account details on request. On payment, the cashier will hand you an envelope containing the donor s name and contact details or vouchers or purchased object as appropriate. If you elect to pay by bank transfer, you will receive the goods after the transfer has been confirmed. Collecting your purchases As the purchaser, it is your responsibility to make contact with the donor in order to make all the necessary arrangements for the delivery/execution of your purchased promise. Unless stated otherwise or agreed, promises must be taken up within twelve months of the auction Please give reasonable notice when claiming your promise but most importantly enjoy your prize! Auction conditions The auctioneer s decision is final All sales are sold as seen. There are no warranties or guarantees. If a service cannot be discharged for a genuine reason, a refund may be considered. The organisers accept no liability for any injury or loss, of whatever nature, which may result from the execution of the Promises. No contract exists between the organisers and the successful bidders. It is the successful bidder s responsibility to contact the provider of the promise
