Listed below are noteworthy road works of which the Traffic and Road Safety Section has been informed. Details are supplied as per information received by 16:00 hrs. on the preceding Thursday. Emergency road works cannot be forecast.» New Entry Estimate of Potential Disruption: # Update *** major ** medium * minor ROAD CLOSURES Roads Act 1993, Section 75 Temporary Closure of Roads within Sandyford Business Park to facilitate the 2017 Twilight Team Challenge 5K Race Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order for partial to full closure of a number of roads within Sandyford Business Park on Thursday 28 th September, 2017 to facilitate the 2017 Twilight Team Challenge 5K Race. The Start Time of the Race is 7.30 p.m. It is envisaged that the roads will be closed at 7.15 p.m. and will remain closed until after the completion of the race at 8.30 a.m. The Roads affected are as follows: 1. Blackthorn Road, (Partial) 2. Blackthorn Avenue, (Partial) 3. Carmanhall Road 4. Three Rock Road 5. Corrig Road 6. Raven s Rock Road A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and all diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Emergency Access can be provided, if required, during the period of the roads closures. Page 1 of 8

2 Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Killiney Hill Road, Killiney Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is undertaking footpath restoration works on Killiney Hill Road from the junction of Victoria Road to the junction of Stream Ville Court from Tuesday 8 th August, 2017 to Friday 29 th September, 2017 (inclusive). It is proposed to close Killiney Hill Road in three phases in order to facilitate footpath restoration works and to minimise disruption to traffic, local residents and local business. The three road closure phases are listed as follows: 1. Junction of Victoria Road to Strathmore Road 2. Junction of Strathmore Road to Killiney Avenue 3. Junction of Killiney Avenue to Military Road A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works. Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Extension to Temporary Closure at The Mews, Sallynoggin Park Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council proposes to extend the temporary closure of Sallynoggin Park at the new Housing Development The Mews from 15 th September 2017 to 6 th October 2017 inclusive, in order to facilitate drainage connections and associated works adjacent to 49 Sallynoggin Park. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works. ROADWORKS / LANE RESTRICTIONS» New Entry:» Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan Village *** Weslin Construction will be closing off the inside traffic lane on Lower Kilmacud Road, south of the Junction with the Old Dublin Road / The Hill. The purpose of the lane closure is to assemble and erect a tower crane for works associated with the Stillorgan Plaza. The dates and times of the lane closure will be from: 8.00 p.m. on Saturday, 23 rd September to 9.00 a.m. on Sunday, 24 th September and from 8.00 p.m. on Sunday, 24 th September to 6.00 a.m. on Monday, 25 th September Access to the Stillorgan Plaza will be available to p.m. on both nights. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation on both nights. Page 2 of 8

3 » Killiney Hill Road, Killiney ** Snagging works will be undertaken on Killiney Hill Road during the week commencing Monday, 25 th September 2017 until Friday, 29 th September 2019 between 8:00 and 18:00 hrs.» Seafield Road, Blackrock ** Road and footpath reconstruction works will be carried out from Monday, 2 nd October 2017 until Friday, 27 th October 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.» Old Connaught Avenue ** Slit trenching on the road will commence on Saturday, 23 rd September 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation during the works.» Kill Lane, Deansgrange** Road restoration works will commence on Thursday 28 th September 2017 until Saturday, 30 th September 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation during the works.» Mount Carmel Avenue and Eden Park Road, Goatstown ** Ramp reconstruction works will be carried out from Monday, 2 nd October 2017 until Friday, 6 th October 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.» Avoca Avenue / Grove Avenue, Blackrock ** (Night works) Tree trimming and public lighting lantern upgrading (Night works). Works will commence on Monday, 25 th September 2017 for 1 week. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation. Page 3 of 8

4 » Drummartin Link Road (both directions) ** There will be Gully cleaning and Road Sweeping on the Drummartin Link Road both directions moving to Green Route and Red Route on Saturday 23 rd and Sunday 24 th September 2017 starting at 5:00am and finishing at 1:00pm. Traffic management and slow moving crash cushion vehicle will be in operation at these locations and times.» Wedgewood Estate, Sandyford * Footpath restoration works commenced on Thursday, 21 st September 2017 until Friday, 13 th October 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. # Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme *** Work commenced on the Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme on Monday, 8 th May 2017 between and hrs. Monday to Friday. The scheme involves the upgrade of Wyattville Road between Wyattville Close and Churchview Road and is expected to continue until May To facilitate the ongoing works to the Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Improvement Scheme we will be carrying out the final kerb installation between the Old Wyattville Road and Churchview Road (inbound) from Wednesday, 27 th September at 09:30 to Friday, 29 th September at 17:00 hrs. The kerbing works involve excavating for the new kerb line on Wednesday, the extrusion of the concrete kerb on Thursday and the backfilling of the area on Friday. Given the nature of these works the slow lane will be closed during this time. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. # North Avenue, Blackrock ** Road and footpath restoration works will continue until Friday, 29 th September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. # Stillorgan Laneways * Civil works and laneway upgrade works will continue until Friday, 29 th September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. 5 R118 / Wyattville Dual Carriageway, Cherrywood **** The delivery of the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will involve significant construction works over the next 8 months in the Cherrywood area. The first phase of infrastructure provision for the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will be delivered by JCL the joint venture between John Cradock Ltd. / Jons Civil Engineering. Major road works began on the Wyattville Dual Carriageway between M50 Junction 16 and the N11 at Cherrywood, on 9 th February 2017 and will continue for the remainder of the year. The primary focus of this phase of the infrastructure works is the upgrade of the Wyattville Roundabout to a signalised junction, and upgrade of Tullyvale Road, involving road construction, road drainage, public lighting, provision of utilities, etc. Traffic restrictions will be in place for the duration and delays can be expected. It is intended to retain two lanes of traffic inbound and outbound. Please note that Pay and Display parking on Tullyvale Road will cease permanently from 1 st February 2017, however, Pay and Display parking is available adjacent to the Brides Glen Luas stop, on Cherrywood Avenue Extension. From the 24 th April 2017, traffic shall be reduced to 1 lane in both directions on the R118 Wyattville Link Rd between the N11 and M50 from 10am and 4pm daily. This is to facilitate the installation of new service crossings across the R118 Wyattville Link Road in multiple locations. From the 24 th April 2017, it is also intended to install barriers to the median of the R118 Wyattville Link Rd (between the M50 and Cherrywood Roundabout) to facilitate works in the median. Frascati Shopping Centre Extension *** Right Turn into Shopping Centre from City Centre - Closed Straight Ahead into Shopping Centre from Rock Hill - Closed In order to facilitate the on-going extension works at Frascati Shopping Centre the existing right turn lane, on the outbound carriageway from the City Centre and the existing straight ahead movement from Rock Hill into Frascati Shopping Centre will be closed temporarily. The temporary closures of the right hand turning lane and straight ahead movement from Rock Hill are to facilitate the on-going construction process for the new underground car park. A one-way traffic management system will be implemented on site to facilitate the works. Car park attendants will be deployed at peak times within the shopping centre to ensure that shopping centre traffic operates smoothly during the period of the development works. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works. Diversions will be in place to direct traffic towards the shopping centre entrance at the end of George s Avenue. 6 Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme *** Work commenced on the Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme on Monday, 24 th April 2017 between and hrs. - Monday to Friday. Works affecting two-way traffic through the Village are restricted between 10:00 and 16:00 hours. The current phase of works is along the south side of Carrickbrennan Road up to Goggins Pub. From Wednesday, 16 th August at 8am the area in front of the Church of Ireland will be made two-way and Clifton Avenue will be made one-way towards Seapoint Avenue. This is in line with the final design of the scheme. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and information relating to the scheme will be available at: Ballinteer Road, Dundrum *** Stone wall construction, bank formation and tree removal between Lynwood and Ailsbury Lawns will commence on Monday, 18 th September 2017 until Friday, 27 th October 2017 between 10:00 and 16:30 hrs. Commons Road, Shankill *** Traffic calming improvement works, including ramp installation works on Commons Road will commence on Monday, 18 th September 2017 until Monday, 25 th September 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. Stillorgan Village Centre, Stillorgan (Kilmacud Road Lower and Old Dublin Road) ** Construction of a traffic island on the Dublin Road and installation of new road markings on Old Dublin Road and Kilmacud Road Lower, Stillorgan, (adjacent to Stillorgan Shopping Centre) will commence on Tuesday, 19 th September 2017 until Monday, 2 nd October 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. and between 19:00 and 23:00 hrs. 7 Glenageary Road Upper (adjacent to Gowrie Park / St Kevin s Villas) ** (Night works) ESB cabling and jointing works will commence on Monday, 18 th September 2017 until Friday, 6 th October 2017 between 00:00 and 23:59 hrs. The works will be in place for 24hrs/day for a period of 12 days. Cherrywood Estate ** Road restoration works will commence on Wednesday, 20 th September 2017 until Friday, 13 th October 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation during the works. Saval Park Gardens, Dalkey ** Footpath restoration works will continue until Friday, 29 th September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. Avondale Crescent, Killiney ** Footpath restoration works will continue until Friday, 29 th September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. Barton Road East, Rathfarnham ** Road reconstruction works will commence on Monday, 11 th September 2017 until Saturday, 21 st October 2017 between 10:00 and 16:30 hrs. Page 7 of 8
