2 PRESIDENT S REPORT I hope that all our members had a great Christmas and are looking forward to happy and healthy New Year, as we gear up for another active year. It is so pleasing that we now have two book groups, and snooker has been reignited thank you to Don Morris for that. Also a new activity, craft is starting with one of our new members, Carol Hodge in February, this sounds very interesting and Carol seems to be very organised and has a great program set out, thank you Carol. Thank you to all our convenors who do such a wonderful job and are always willing to go the extra mile for our enjoyment. Our Christmas function was a great success thank you to Denise Riley for organising this event. The first big event for the year that the committee is running is our annual B.B.Q. A new venue. The beautiful Seawinds and a new look, we promise you all a great day with plenty to do or, just relax, so be sure to put your name down for this event. Ann Martyn President. MEMBERSHIP REPORT Please be on the look-out and welcome Margaret Lockwood and Joyce Cately who have joined our merry band of revellers! Some Christmas spirit remains! On a serious note please remember that we will call for subscriptions to be paid on 1st of July, subscriptions for the year Fees can be paid at the June meeting or posted to the PO Box. *** Please Note: That unless fees have been received by end July you are no longer a financial member, and in this instance a Newsletter will no longer be mailed until fees have been received. Membership Secretary: Johanna Roberts ( , please leave a message) **To all members At each Members Meeting there will be an Activities Attendance Sheet where you can add your name if you are interested in participating in future events, however, you will be required to book and pay for all tours/events at that time or by the date nominated. Whilst you may have put your name down as being interested in an event your place is not secure until payment has been received. Please try to bring the correct money when paying as Convenors may not have any change. As events are usually pre-paid by the Club there can be no refunds for those who cannot be replaced by other Members on the waiting list. Your co-operation would be appreciated. Members are very welcome to bring a friend or partner to a maximum of three different functions to try us out (with a view to their joining our Club). Then it is necessary for them to become financial to continue enjoying further LAC activities. TRAVEL REGISTER Thank you to those who have placed their names on the travel register.
