4 Bury St Edmunds Bury St Edmunds is located in the heart of the Eastern Region and forms one of the main commercial centres within the strategically important corridor. The town is the primary commercial and administrative centre for West Suffolk and boasts a variety of service sector, production and manufacturing occupiers including major national operators such as Greene King, British Sugar, Claas and Taylor Wimpey, as well a number of public sector bodies. Bury is also one of the main historic and cultural centres in the region providing a rich mix of leisure, retail and amenity facilities.

6 Planning Infrastructure Earliest Occupation Suffolk Park is within a greater area of 168 acres allocated within St Edmundsbury s local plan for employment. This envisages primarily B1 offices, Research and development, light industrial, B8 warehousing and some B2 general industrial. A hybrid planning application comprising outline B1,2&8 and some sustainable uses will be submitted together with detailed design of the park s framework landscaping and the main estate road before Christmas. It is envisaged that Planning Permission will be obtained in Spring The initial phase of the Eastern Relief Road (ERR) including the entrance roundabout into Suffolk Park will be completed and open by Christmas The whole ERR is programmed to be open and operational by June Suffolk Park s main estate road will commence construction immediately after planning is obtained, with the aim for completion by December Individual planning applications for occupiers requirements can be submitted anytime after Suffolk Park has submitted it s hybrid application. St Edmundsbury planners have confirmed that they will allow buildings to be constructed in parallel to the implementation of the Park s infrastructure.
