4 LED Street Light Installation Kick-off meeting now scheduled for November 26 th with the installer. Wells Recreation Department Pilgrim Dash 11/18/18 - CANCELLED-LOW REGISTRATION!!!!!! Cobble Removal Environmental Application Filed. See below link to review. If a permit is granted, this will allow the town to move cobble away from seawalls from the winter storms before 4
5 May of each year as has been done on a section of Drakes Island. Harbor Pier Structural Improvements: MaineDOT has awarded the Town through the Harbormaster s efforts and the Town s CIP budgeting a grant to assist in the funding of structural repairs and improvements to the main pier on the Western side of the harbor. The project amount planned is $170,000 with the Town and State paying 50%. Bids for the work are to be opened on 11/20/18. HR Cornero Open Enrollment Period. Last Week Teams are getting close and Team Jodie definitely took charge of their steps last week! Must have been a lot of fall clean up going on! This week Team Jodie had 1022 KM and Team Natalie only had 931 KM. In total over the last 5 weeks: Team Natalie has traveled 4510 KM / Team Jodie has traveled 4373 KM Holiday Baskets 6
7 Spectrum Cable Wells Channel 3 Meetings & Bulletin Board- To Move to Cable Channel 1301 beginning October 23, Communities involved: North Berwick, Ogunquit, Wells, York & South Berwick On October 23, 2018, Channel 3 new locations will be on channel This will be carried in the basic service tier. Customers will be required to have a Spectrum Receiver on each TV. If you have an existing set-top-box, digital transport adapter (DTA), or retail device with a CableCARD on each TV, you will be unaffected by this change. Otherwise, to order your Spectrum Receiver(s), please go to Spectrum.com/digitalnow or call and Charter will ship a self-installation kit directly to your home at no additional cost. You can also visit the Wells or Portland Cable Stores to pick up your equipment. If you need equipment, customers are eligible to receive a converter at no additional charge for a limited period of time. Please note, if customers have TV(s) without equipment issued by Spectrum, you will lose the ability to view channels. Please let me know of any questions. 8 Projects: Wayfinder Project The Wayfinder Committee met with its Consultant, Favermann Design on Thursday, November 8 and went through the scope of work for the project. Appointed members to the Wayfinder Committee are: Eleanor Vadenais Wells Chamber Katy Kelly Lafayette s Ocean Resort Jo-Ann Putnam Chief of Police Jodine Adams Code Enforcement Officer Jonathan Carter Town Manager Nik Charov /Scott Richardson Laudholm Trust Tim Roche- Selectmen Rep Next meeting on Tuesday, November 27 at 11AM Town Hall. Webhannet Marsh Trail: Construction 95% complete The work on the installation of the Webhannet Marsh Trail construction is about complete with some minor cleanup and signage installation. This is a NOAA / Wells Reserve / Town funded project. The trail ribbon cutting ceremony will be in the spring. View from the Trail under construction 8

10 Optional Fire Substation Site Voters approved on 11/6/18 the Special Town Meeting Article that allows the Board of Selectmen to evaluate an alternative site for the approved new sub firestation for town land on Route 109 at Meetinghouse Road. The alternative site is on the current town parcel that the PWD Garage is located see below. The evaluation will compare the same building on the two sites and their site development cost as well as other factors.
