9 Location page Amiens Street is located at the gateway to an area undergoing large-scale regeneration. Amiens Street is a major entry point to the city from the northern suburbs of Clontarf and Malahide. From the north or Airport, travelling to 110 Amiens Street by car was made easier with the opening of the Dublin Port Tunnel in December Connecting with the M1 at Santry, the 4.5 km tunnel resurfaces at East Wall Road. 10 {dublin transport frequency - reliability - choice 110 Amiens Street provides occupiers with access to an unrivalled range of public transport options - with train, bus and Luas services all right on its doorstep. Terminating at neighbouring Connolly is the Luas Red Line from Tallaght, its swift and reliable service is hugely popular with Dublin commuters. Connolly is served by nine bus routes, and is within walking distance of other major departure points including Parnell Square and Lower Abbey Street. It is just a further one-minute walk to Busaras - where the Airlink bus provides a quick journey to Dublin International Airport and buses leave on the hour for Ireland s major cities. Intercity trains regularly leave Connolly Station for Belfast, Sligo and Rosslare Europort. LUAS At peak times the Luas leaves Connolly Station every fi ve minutes, arriving at Heuston Station in 17 minutes and Tallaght in 43 minutes. On weekdays the fi rst tram leaves Tallaght at 5.30 am, with the last tram leaving Connolly at am. In 2007 the capacity on the Red Line will be increased by 40%, with a 4 km extension to City West planned for 2009.

11 ONE HUNDRED & TEN AMIENS s Transport page 09 TRANSPORT 21 The Future The importance of the area between O Connell Street and the Docklands has been underlined by the Government s Transport 21 strategy, which sees this area becoming a convergence point for new public transport lines. The Luas Red Line will be extended a further 1.5 km from Connolly Station into the Docklands, passing through new residential and business developments to The Point Depot. The strategy will also see the Luas Red and Green Lines linked by The new Docklands Station (under construction at Spencer Dock, just five minutes walk from 110 Amiens Streeet) will increase train frequency on the Maynooth Line, and will be one of the stations on the planned Interconnector Line. This brand new line will travel underground through Pearse Station and St Stephen s Green to connect with the western lines running out of Heuston Station. The most anticipated change to Dublin s infrastructure will be the opening of the Metro North Line in The closest station to 110 Amiens Street will be just a 10 minute walk (or five minute Luas ride) away at O Connell Bridge. From here travellers will be able to reach Dublin Airport in only 15 minutes, or continue on through Swords to the terminus at Lissenhall. DART AIR TRAIN BUS CAR BY FOOT The DART line operates between Howth and Greystones, stopping at 28 stations en route. The upgrading of the city centre signalling (at road crossings) will allow the number of trains passing between Connolly and Pearse Stations to be increased from 12 to 16 per hour. Dublin International Airport is approximately a 20-minute drive from Amiens Street along the N1 and M1. From Busaras station the direct Airlink service leaves once every 10 minutes, with a journey time of 35 minutes to the airport. Connolly Station offers suburban, commuter, intercity, and even international (Belfast) services. Suburban services pass through growing commuter towns, extending to Mullingar and Arklow, Kildare and Dundalk. Connolly Station is served directly by nine city bus routes. Nearby, O Connell Street, Lower Abbey Street and Parnell Square (all within 10 minutes walk) act as major departure points for a number of other routes. Busaras (2 minutes walk) is Dublin s major intercity and commuter bus terminal. 110 Amiens Street offers 16 car parking spaces. Additional parking can be found within 5 minutes walk on Talbot Street or in the IFSC. At just 5 minutes to the IFSC and O Connell Street, 25 minutes to St Stephen s Green, 20 minutes to Temple Bar and 15 minutes to Grand Canal Docks, the entire central city area is easily reached on foot.
