The Commonwealth Care Link Centre provides information on services available to people who are frail aged or have a disability. Many local services rely on volunteers. If you have a little spare time, a caring nature and you re interested in finding out more, please call the Albion Park HACC Centre on Volunteers help in a variety of ways including: Gardening Handyperson tasks Shopping Driving cars and buses Day care support Respite in a persons home or community setting Most services offer training and support to help you with your volunteering. To find out more about volunteering, search volunteering on Council s website at or call the Albion Park HACC Centre on Welcome to Seniors Week 2013 Shellharbour City is celebrating Seniors Week with another huge program of activities and events. The focus of this special week is to provide our senior residents and visitors with opportunities to enjoy a variety of activities that may serve to remind participants of the new discoveries that are available to us all. The events schedule is loaded with activities including tai chi demonstrations, computer courses, fashion parades, concerts as well as luncheons, morning teas and fellowship group meetings. In addition to these events, we are hosting a photographic exhibition at the Shellharbour Village Exhibition Space promoting positive images of ageing the ever popular Seniors Week Trivia Festival will again be run at the Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club. I would encourage all senior residents to 'live life' and be part of the experience of Seniors Week I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the coming months and wish you all the best. 5 Saturday 23 rd March - Sunday 24 th March Activity 3: Jervis Bay Scenic Fly south from Albion Park coastal down to the Shoalhaven and on to Jervis Bay, enjoying views of Seven Mile Beach, St Georges Basin, Camerong Island and Huskisson. Experience the unspoilt cliffs of Point Perpendicular and return along the coastline via Kiama and Shellharbour. Activity 1: Bridges to Beaches Fly over Lake Illawarra and follow our wonderful beaches all the way to the spectacular coastline all the way to Stanwell Tops and the spectacular Sea Cliff Bridge. Returning via the northern beaches of Wollongong and on to Kiama before returning to Albion Park. $80 Flight Duration: Approx 40 minutes Activity 2: Sydney Harbour Scenic Fly over our Lake Illawarra and follow our wonderful coastline all the way to Sydney. Orbit the harbour and capture a bird's eye view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House returning via the National Park, Stanwell Tops and the spectacular Sea Cliff Bridge. (There is a 90% chance of Harbour Orbit as Air Traffic Control may limit access, fog conditions may also limit access.) $150 Flight Duration: Approx 80 minutes 27

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions regarding any aspect of fire safety both in the home, caravan and bush. The selection promotes positive images of ageing. An inspiring insight into our senior residents who are leading by example and showing everyone that life gets better after 55 years.
