2 Aboriginal Women s Pampering Day National Sorry Day Thursday 2 May 9.30am-2pm Bankstown Arts Centre, 5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown Tuesday 29 May 10am-2pm Bankstown Arts Centre, 5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown Local Aboriginal women, aged 18 years and over, are invited to enjoy a FREE day of pampering! There will be a focus on health and wellbeing, with lunch included. 3 Aboriginal Cultural Workshop Thursday 31 May 9.30am-3.30pm Bryan Brown Theatre and Function Centre, 80 Rickard Road, Bankstown This workshop, for non-profit organisations and workers in Canterbury-Bankstown, aims to increase knowledge of Aboriginal cultural and give participants an understanding of how to engage Indigenous people. Refreshments and lunch are provided. NAIDOC Connections Festival Tuesday 17 July 1-3pm Paul Keating Park, The Mall, Bankstown Come along for a FREE day of celebrations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, including music, performances, art workshops and a barbeque lunch. 5 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women s Acknowledgement Night Canterbury-Bankstown will celebrate the invaluable contributions made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to our community, our families and our City, in September. Local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are encouraged to nominate for acknowledgement, women who have supported them in keeping connection to culture strong.
