2 Dear Participant, We are glad that you will be joining us for the SAFRA Celebration Run & Ride. This year, we celebrate Singapore s Golden Jubilee (SG50) and commemorate 50 years of National Service (SAF50). Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen) have contributed greatly to Singapore s progress over the last five decades. This unique event is among a string of activities and special promotions initiated by SAFRA to show our appreciation for NSmen and create more opportunities for them to bond and create lasting memories with their families and loved ones. Life in the little red dot is an interesting one. There is much that Singaporeans can be proud of and celebrate, including our rich heritage and multi-cultural society. We also have many unique icons and experiences that give us a common language and identity. The running route for the 5-kilometre celebration run is peppered with a series of SG50 highlights to add more fun to the run. Participants can look forward to cultural performances such as the Malay Kompang, Bhangra Dance and the Chinese Drum. Keep your eyes peeled as you will also see a host of characters such as the 'Samsui Woman', 'Kacang Puteh Man, Summon Aunties, Mata Mata and a Merlion Mist station along the way. Both the 5-kilometre celebration run and Families for Life 1.5-kilometre Run & Ride will run through Universal Studios Singapore, where participants will get to meet and greet some all-time favourite characters including Puss in Boots. Those who have registered for the run and ride categories will also enjoy unlimited rides at Universal Studios Singapore after the run. After the run, we also have a Lucky Draw where participants can stand to win some cool prizes, such as a pair of air tickets to Bangkok, a Soleus Activity Tracker, ifly Singapore flight vouchers and many more. Aquarium, Resorts World Sentosa Bull Ring, Resorts World Sentosa Run into Universal Studios Singapore by 8.30am (Exit by 9am) Only participants in the event tee-shirt and race bib will be allowed entry to the start point. With an estimated number of more than 7,000 runners, we are expecting high traffic just before the flag off, so do arrive at least half an hour ahead. This will give you sufficient time to plan, gear up and warm up. Your health is our main concern. Should you feel unwell at any point, please stop and seek immediate medical attention. Our medical team will be located along both run routes and at the Bull Ring. The start point will close 15 minutes after the flag off. Once the start point for your category is closed, you will not be allowed to participate in the run. All participants will run through Universal Studios Singapore to meet the characters as a key highlight for the run. As Universal Studios Singapore needs to prepare for their day s operations, entry to the theme park for the run will close at 8.30am. (Note that this applies to the run segment only and you can still enter the theme park after 10am to enjoy unlimited rides for the rest of the day.) Universal Studios Singapore theme park will open at 10am. If you have pre-purchased the Run & Ride option, you will be able to collect your tickets at The Coliseum from 8.30am. 4 Participants are to proceed to their respective start points at least 30 minutes before the respective flag off timings. For participants of the 5km run categories, the start point is at Sentosa Gateway. For participants of the Families for Life 1.5km Run & Ride route, the start point is at the entrance of S.E.A. Aquarium. For participants who are driving, the VivoCity carpark is nearest to the 5km start point (Sentosa Gateway). The Resorts World Sentosa carpark is closest to the 1.5km start point (S.E.A. Aquarium) and end points for both run categories. Enter VivoCity s carpark and park close to Lobby F. Enter via Lobby F and take the escalator to level 1. Walk towards Crystal Jade and turn left. Continue walking until you see the exit. Exit VivoCity and follow the Sentosa Boardwalk (wooden planks). The start point should be visible after about a 5-minutes walk. In view of the large turnout expected, you may experience traffic congestion, hence we strongly advise participants to use public transport services. The nearest MRT station is Harbourfront. The nearest bus stop is at VivoCity (bus stop 14141) which has the following bus services : 10, 30, 61, 65, 80, 97, 100, 131, 143, 145, 166 and 855. If you are participating in the 5km flag off, once you reach the bus stop, turn left and walk along the side of VivoCity towards Sentosa boardwalk. Follow Sentosa boardwalk (wooden planks) to the start point. Estimated walking time: 5 minutes. If you are participating in the Families for Life 1.5km Run & Ride flag off, board bus RWS8 from VivoCity (bus stop 14141) or from Merrill Lynch, HarbourFront (bus stop 14121). Alight at Resorts World Sentosa drop-off point. Enter via The Forum and turn left to take the escalator up to level 1. Head to the entrance of S.E.A. Aquarium and the start point should be visible. Bag deposit service will be available to 5km run participants at Sentosa Gateway (close to VivoCity) and will be opened from 5.30am am. Kindly refrain from bringing valuable items to the event. As bag deposit slots are limited, it will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Organisers will not be liable for any loss and damage of personal belongings. All bags are to be collected at Resorts World Sentosa from 8am to 10am. There will be directional signages at the end point/ Runners Welfare Area that will lead you to the bag collection area. Items not claimed by 10am on event day will be kept by SAFRA and disposed off one week from event day.

6 After completing the run ending at the Bull Ring, participants can make their way to the carnival area located at The Coliseum. Run & Ride particpants can collect their Universal Studios Singapore ticket at the Carnival area. There are signboards and ushers along the way to direct participants to The Coliseum. Each Run & Ride (1.5km or 5km) race bib will come with a perforation for collection of the Universal Studios Singapore ticket. Kindly bring along your race bib for the 1-for-1 ticket exchange. Latecomers will be requested to run a shorter route, subject to the organiser's discretion. Will the run continue if there is haze or if it rains? Organisers will evaluate if the event should proceed with the safety of our runners as key consideration. Participants will be informed via SMS should the event be cancelled. Visit our Facebook page (facebook.com/safrasg) for the latest announcements. If I choose to not turn up on the event day due to inclement weather like rain or haze, can I get a refund? There will be no refunds. Will there be any timing recorded for this race? As this is a non-competitive event, no timings will be recorded. Are pets allowed? No pets are allowed. Will there be any race pack collection on the event day? There will be no race pack collection available on the event day. Where should I go after the run? Participants are advised to proceed to the Runners Welfare Area (Bull Ring) to receive their refreshments and medal. Thereafter, participants of the 5km Celebration Run & Ride and Families for Life 1.5km Run & Ride will need to collect their Universal Studios Singapore tickets at the Celebration Carnival located at The Coliseum.
