1 May Day Fiesta (MDF) 2018 FAQ for Participants 30 th June 2018, 9am to 7pm l Downtown East, 1 Pasir Ris Close Q1: How can I register for MDF 2018 tickets? A1: General Branch (GB) members are required to register online for May Day Fiesta tickets. Registration will be sent to all GB members on 12 th May Successful registrants will receive an acknowledgement with a QR code. GB members are to present this QR code on MDF event day on 30 th June 2018 to collect 4 x MDF Tickets. Ticket collection booth is found at the open tent area beside the D Marquee. See Annex D Map of Downtown East for details. Ordinary Branch (OB) members are to contact their respective union for registration details. Q2: How many tickets can an OB/GB member register for? A2: GB member: Fixed at 4 tickets per member OB member: Please check with your union on the number of tickets you can register for. Q3: What would members be entitled to with 1 ticket? A3: Each ticket comes with a set of coupons, comprising the following: 1 x Admission ticket to Wild Wild Wet (Valid from 30 th June to 30 th July 2018) 1 x Game play at Orchid Bowl (Valid from 30 th June to 30 th July 2018) 1 x Redemption ticket for a bottle of water located at Wild Wild Wet and D Marquee 4 x Games and Activities 1 x * Amazing Showtime (at D Marquee) 1 x Early Bird Lucky Draw 1 x Carnival Ride *Magic performances at 11am, 1.30pm, 4pm & 7pm Collection of tickets for GB members will be on the day of the Fiesta at the open tent beside D Marquee. Please prepare to show the QR code found in the acknowledgement . See Annex D Map of Downtown East for the location for ticket collection. Q4: I m a GB member and I can t make it on MDF event day on 30 th June Can I still register for MDF but collect the ticket on other days? A4: There are no other ticket collection dates.

2 Q5: What does MDF 2018 hope to achieve? A5: May Day Fiesta is part of May Day Celebrations It aims to reinforce the importance of a big and cohesive Labour Movement family that is always by your side. This MDF will also see other segments of the LM family such as our Social Enterprises and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) setting up booths to engage our members with fun activities. Q6: What are the highlights of MDF 2018? A6: The highlights are: a. Free Wild Wild Wet & Bowling b. Early Bird 11am (held at L2, Event Square) c. Carnival Games & Magic/Circus Performances d. Attractive discounts by participating merchants in Downtown East! For full program details, please refer to Annex A: Programme Schedule At Event Square & Annex B: Location and opening hours of Fiesta Attractions. Q7: Do members need to register for MDF on 30 th June 2018? A7: GB Members: To collect tickets at open tent area beside D Marquee. Please prepare to show the QR code found in the acknowledgement . OB Members: No registration required as you d have already receive tickets from your union. Q8: What is the recommended attire for MDF 2018? A8: Participants are strongly encouraged to bring suitable attire (i.e. swim suit, swim cap, floats etc.) for wet activities at Wild Wild Wet. For other activities, participants are recommended to wear comfortable shoes, shirts and bottoms that are suitable for dry activities (i.e. bowling and carnival games). Please note that the organizers and agents will not be responsible for any injuries, loss of properties or other mishaps during the event or in relation to the event. Q9: What happens if I lose my tickets? A9: Once the coupons have been received by the successful applicant, it will be his/her responsibility to ensure that they are kept safely. Lost coupons will not be replaced. Exercising personal responsibility in safeguarding of coupons is strongly advised. Q10 Can the tickets be converted into cash? A10: No. The tickets cannot be exchanged for cash.

3 Q11: Can tickets that are defaced or tampered with still be used? A11: Tickets should be kept safely and presented in a reasonably good condition to avoid it from being considered unacceptable for use by NTUC Club. NTUC Club reserves the right not to recognise or accept tampered or defaced coupons. Q12: Are there any promotions by the merchants located in Downtown East during May Day Fiesta 2018? A12: Yes, download and flash the MyNTUC mobile application to enjoy promotions at merchants in Downtown East during May Day Fiesta. List of participating merchants coming up soon! Q15: How do I get to Downtown East? A15: Downtown East is easily accessible via public and private transportation: MRT: Alight at Pasir Ris MRT (East-West, Green Line) and take a short 10-minute walk along Pasir Ris Drive 3. Bus: If you are taking buses 3, 5, 6, 12, 17, 21, 89, 354, or 358, alight at the bus stop in front of Downtown East along Pasir Ris Drive 3. Car: If you are traveling from Pasir Ris Drive 8, you will turn right into Pasir Ris Drive 1. Cruise along Pasir Ris Drive 1 and turn left to Pasir Ris Drive 6. Travel along Pasir Ris Drive 6 and you will reach Downtown East. If you are traveling from Loyang Ave or Elias Road, you will be connected to Pasir Ris Drive 3. Travel along Pasir Ris Drive 3 and you will reach Downtown East.
