Even today, you can find reics of the pre Hispanic socie es that ived here and observe how they influenced the deveopment of this coossa urban se ement. Deuxe room on a bed Day 2 Mexico City City Tour and Anthropoogy Museum A er breakfast, we wi take a guided tour of Mexico City beginning at the main square, Zócao. We wi visit the Na ona Paace, the seat of the federa execu ve in Mexico. It has served as a paace for the ruing cass of Mexico since the Aztec Empire and much of the current buiding derives from the origina structure beonging to Mocetezuma II. The paace aso features a famous mura painted by Mexican ar st Diego Rivera, depic ng the history of the na on.

This spectacuar church was intended to distract the Aztec peope from their own beiefs and hep convert them to Chris anity. Right behind the Cathedra, you can find the Tenoch tan Tempo Mayor Pyramids, part of an Aztec ceremonia compex, considered to be the cosmic centre of their universe. Once we have finished exporing Zócao, we wi drive through the city, passing the Paacio de Beas Artes, a 19th century a white marbe buiding that func ons as a theatre as we as an art museum. We wi then cruise aong the Paseo de a Reforma Avenue, inspired by the Champs Eisée of Paris, to reach the Na ona Anthropoogy Museum, the argest in its type in the word. Deuxe room on a bed Day 3 Mexico City Guadaupe Shrine Teo huacan Mexico City We wi start the day by visi ng the Virgin of Guadaupe Shrine, an important pace of pigrimage for miions of Cathoics from a over the word. We wi con nue to the Teo huacan Pyramids, an ancient archaeoogica zone north of Mexico City. These monumenta buidings (bigger than the Egyp an pyramids) are thought to have been buit by the Totec and are dedicated to the sun and the moon. 3 A er breakfast in Mexico City, you wi transfer to the airport for your flight to Mérida. From Mérida airport, you wi go directy to the hote for check in before se ng off on a city tour. On the tour, we wi visit a number of fine coonia buidings, such as the Governor s Paace, Mérida Cathedra (one of the odest cathedras in the Americas and home to one of the biggest interior statues of Christ in the word) and Montejo Paace as we as the downtown shopping area. Kabah flourished around the year 800 AD and features Cassic stye architecture. It is best known for its impressive Paace of the Masks, with a façade dispaying hundreds of stone masks that depict Chaac, the god of rain. We then con nue to Uxma, one of the most majes c Mayan sites in existence. The site incudes ow and horizonta paaces paced around richy decorated pa os. Lunch is incuded in Uxma. 4 Day 6 Mérida Ceestún Biosphere Reserve Mérida On the sixth day we wi con nue to the picturesque fishing viage of Ceestún, home to pink flamingo coonies and Biosphere Reserve beaches. We wi visit the main a rac ons of this eco tourism paradise by boat, incuding a flamingo agoon known as The Drum. A er the tour, you can enjoy unch in one of the seafood restaurants aong the beach.
