Cocktail reception and snacks at Universal with Mexican families. 10:50 11:20 a.m. General orientation. 11:20 a.m. 1:10 p.m. Cultural classes: Mexican History or additional Spanish for communication. 4 p.m. Visit to the house of a Mexican and local painter, ending with drinks at a restaurant in the area*. Or, 4 p.m. Tour of downtown Cuernavaca, ending with drinks at a restaurant in the area*. Tuesday 28 11:20 1:10 p.m. Cultural classes: Mexican History, cooking class or additional 4 p.m. Visit to a great and new park Jardines de México near Cuernavaca, ending with drinks at a restaurant in the area*. Or, 2 p.m. Visit to Taxco, a beautiful colonial and magical town south of Cuernavaca, famous for its silver designs and shops. Wednesday 1 11:20 1:10 p.m. Cultural classes: Mexican History, dancing or additional 2 p.m. Visit to Tlayacapan, a beautiful and magical town in the mountains near Cuernavaca, famous for its ceramics. Or, 2 p.m. Visit to Tepoztlán, a magical and indigenous village near Cuernavaca. You will love it. Thursday 2 11:20 1:10 p.m. Cultural classes: Mexican History, cooking class or additional 4 p.m. Tour on wheels visiting different neighborhoods of Cuernavaca. Special dinner at El Rincón del Bife restaurant*.

2 Friday 3 11:20 1:10 p.m. Cultural classes: Mexican History, handicrafts or additional 2 p.m. Great Mexican barbecue, exquisite cuisine with mariachi band, margaritas and beer. Saturday 4 Sunday 5 Monday 6 Tuesday 7 5 a.m. Leave for the beautiful city of Morelia,a colonial city and capital of the state of Michoacán. Morelia is the birth place of José María Morelos, a priest who led the Mexican War of Independence. On the way to Morelia we will stop at the world renowned Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve. A detailed itinerary will be available before the trip. Lunch* en route. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive at the historic downtown city of Morelia, with its colonial era churches lovely parks and interesting markets. Morelia is also known for its delicious food and the enchanting folk dances. Dinner* and rest. 8 a.m. Breakfast* at a restaurant near our hotel. Visit the great and magical town of Pátzcuaro and the island of Janitzio, places known for their unique celebrations of the day of the dead. We will be visiting another magical town, Santa Clara del Cobre famous for its copperware, workshops and stores. Lunch* in Pátzcuaro and dinner* in the city*. 8:00 a.m. Breakfast* at a restaurant near our hotel. Visit the town of Quiroga, known for its stunning lacquered wood carpentry. Lunch in the town*. We will spend the afternoon in in city of Morelia for more visits in the downtown area. See list of recommendations. Dinner* in the city. Group departs. Flight back to Phoenix from Mexico City. Transportation to the airport. *Drinks and meals at specified destinations are not included in the package price*.
