This evening, classic cars will transport you to a private dinner with a special guest from Cuba s music industry. Meals Dinner *Check-in begins roughly at 3pm ET. The tour start time will vary slightly depending on flight arrivals. DAY 2 HAVANA After breakfast at the hotel, take in the sights and sounds of Old Havana as you re guided through the streets on a walking tour. Visit EGREM Studios, where the Buena Vista Social Club album was recorded. Next we'll visit the Museum of the Revolution for a little history lesson. After lunch at a paladar (a privately owned restaurant), you ll meet an art specialist for a guided tour of Havana s justly famous Museum of Fine Arts. Next we'll take a private tour of well-known Fabrica de Arte Cubana (FAC) with an art curator. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening. We suggest you try one of the area s many paladares. DAY 3 HAVANA This morning, participate in a lively discussion about Cuban music styles, culture, and history with an influential musician and musicologist. Visit a percussion artist s studio and learn more about the tradition of Cuban percussion. This evening we'll enjoy dinner at a local paladar. DAY 4 HAVANA After breakfast, you ll start the day by meeting with one of Cuba s most influential photographers. Enjoy a visit to a cigar factory. After lunch at a top-rated paladar and enjoy a private performance. Next, you ll be introduced to members of a children s chior and guitar group. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening. Following dinner we recommend checking out one of Havana's popular music venues. DAY 5 HAVANA Today we ll visit a food co-op and learn more about local products available to Cubans. We ll continue to the town of Guanabacoa, where you ll meet an Afro-Cuban group and enjoy a private traditional Afro-Cuban music-and-dance performance, and learn about the origins of Santeria and its profound influence in Cuban music. After lunch, we continue on to Playa del Este, where you can dip your feet in the Caribbean Sea and interact with locals at a dance party. We'll return to Havana for a farewell dinner. DAY 6 HAVANA Adiós, Cuba! After breakfast at the hotel, bid farewell to Cuba as you board your flight home. Meals Breakfast OPTIONAL EXTENSION DAY 6 HAVANA PLAYA LARGA CIENFUEGOS After breakfast at the hotel, we ll leave Havana for Cienfuegos via Playa Larga, where we ll stop for lunch. From Playa Larga, we'll continue our journey to the Bay of Pigs Museum, and then onwards to the charming island town of Cienfuegos. After check-in at the Hotel La Union we ll dine at a local paladar, followed by and evening at the Teatro Terry s Bar. DAY 7 TRINIDAD CIENFUEGOS After breakfast, we'll visit the center of Trinidad to learn about the cities architectural and historic preservation and UNESCO designation. After we ll meet with local musicians for a performance. After lunch, visit the Casa de la Trova, the venue for all the local nightlife. Afterwards, meet with a local artist to learn more about the art scene in the city. We ll return to Cienfuegos where we ll enjoy dinner and one of the citie s best paladars. DAY 8 CIENFUEGOS SANTA CLARA Adiós, Cuba! After breakfast at the hotel, we ll meet the singers and artistic director of the internationally acclaimed Coro del Cienfuegos (an all-time guest favorite). After a farewell lunch at a local paladar, we ll drive to Santa Clara where you ll catch your flight home. * Activities in this itinerary should be considered a sample only.
