4 Costa Rica: Tropical Adventure DAILY ITINERARY March 15-22, 2019 Day 1 Fly to Costa Rica Fly to Costa Rica for the start of an unforgettable adventure. Upon arrival, we ll board a deluxe motorcoach and travel to our hotel in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. We ll have a relaxing evening and anticipate the beautiful scenery ahead. Day 2 Doka Coffee Plantation / La Paz Waterfall Gardens This morning we ll travel north through the Central Valley, a region known for its coffee production. We ll enjoy a private tour of the Doka Coffee Plantation and learn about their cultivation process and the importance of coffee to Costa Rica s economy. Afterwards, we ll continue north and visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens. In addition to a beautiful waterfall, this nature reserve also includes stunning greenery and wildlife. This evening, we ll check into our hotel near the Arenal Volcano. Meals: B, L, D Day 3 Hanging Bridges Today we ll enjoy a guided tour of the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges. The trails and bridges of this park will give us the opportunity to get up close to wildlife, flowers, and lush vegetation. More than 50 species of birds can be found in this forest. We ll also enjoy stunning views of the famous Arenal Volcano. Tonight we ll relax and enjoy a dinner showcasing the local cuisine of Costa Rica. Meals: B, D Day 4 Lake Crossing / Monteverde More beauty awaits today as we travel to Arenal Lake. We ll board a boat and enjoy a 40-minute ride across this body of water while enjoying stunning surroundings. Afterwards, we ll visit another family-owned coffee farm where we ll have the opportunity to sample some delicious coffee and traditional snacks. Tonight, we ll check into our hotel located in the tropical, cloud forest region of Monteverde. Meals: B, L, D Day 5 Curi-Cancha Reserve / Quaker Farm This morning we ll enjoy a guided hike through the beautiful Curi-Cancha Reservere. Located in the heart of Monteverde, this reserve protects 205 acres of forest and pasture and is a bird-watcher s paradise with over 200 species of birds that call Curi-Cancha home. Frequently spotted mammals include armadillo, coati, sloth, monkeys, and more. Afterwards, we ll learn about the fascinating history of a Quaker farmer who is dedicated to sustainable practices in Monteverde. Meals: B, D 3 Call

5 Day 6 Tarcoles River / Manuel Antonio National Park More wildlife awaits today as we travel towards the beautiful beach town of Manuel Antonio. We ll make a stop at the Tarcoles River to look for Crocodiles. This afternoon we ll check into our hotel located near the stunning Manuel Antonio National Park, located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The afternoon and evening will be at your leisure to relax and enjoy the beach and hotel. Meals: B, L Day 7 Manuel Antonio National Park Today we ll tour Manuel Antonio with a guide. Our hike will include a variety of wildlife birds, monkeys, sloths, and more. We ll also make a stop at the park s beach to relax and enjoy the water. Afterwards we ll return to the hotel to relax before enjoying a final dinner with the group. Meals: B, D Day 8 Travel Home Our Costa Rican adventure comes to an end today as we travel back to San Jose where our flight home awaits. Should such a rare exclusion ever be made, those passengers who purchased the Guest Protection Plan will be issued credit valid for use on any Landmark Tours package that departs within one year of original tour registration.
