This afternoon, enjoy Dublin on your own. There are plenty of shops along Nassau Street and the pedestrianized Grafton Street or Henry Street. Perhaps you ll want to explore Temple Bar or visit some of the traditional pubs. Tonight, enjoy a dinner of Irish specialties followed by a lively show of traditional Irish music, songs, and displays of step dancing. Meals: B, D Day 4 Dualla House / Waterford Crystal We ll visit Dualla House this morning. Watch a sheepdog demonstration and then enjoy tea and scones. Next we ll visit Waterford, home of the famous hand-cut crystal. Upon arrival, tour the House of Waterford Crystal to learn about glass blowing and cutting, and see unique masterpieces. 2 Day 5 Cork City Tour / Blarney Castle Today we ll embark on a panoramic tour to see the main areas of Cork. Cork is built on many hills with many steeply sloping streets. Visit the English Market where there is a wide variety of goods. Then drive a few miles outside of Cork to climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Stone of Eloquence or take a walk through the stunning grounds for a look at the castle. We ll also visit the Blarney Woollen Mills, which have a wide range of Irish products, before heading west into the mountainous country of County Kerry. Here we ll explore the Ring of Kerry. See miles of marvelous scenery consisting of the highest peaks in Ireland and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky headlands. We ll enjoy plenty of stops to view the scenery and take photos. We ll check into our hotel and freshen up before dinner tonight. Meals: B, D Blarney Castle Day 6 Jaunting Car Ride / Dingle Peninsula An old-fashioned horse drawn jaunting car will bring us through Killarney National Park, which is closed to motorized vehicles. Next, we ll drive out along the Dingle Peninsula. This scenic road winds along portions of the shoreline and through hilly country. We ll enjoy spectacular views of mountains and coast, with new vistas opening up at every turn in the road. We ll return to Killarney for a free evening. Meals: B Day 7 Cliffs of Moher / Galway Walking Tour We ll depart Killarney and travel north through the village of Listowel to Tarbert. Take a 20-minute ferry ride across the River Shannon estuary and along the coastline to take in the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher. This iconic cliff rises to a height of almost 700 feet above the ocean and stretches five miles along the coast. We ll pass through the Burren, an area of rocky limestone hills where many unique flowers thrive. This region also contains many dolmens, prehistoric monuments formed by large limestone slabs. We ll continue north to Galway and embark on a walking tour of the city. See the medieval city walls, Lynch s Castle, and the narrow streets. Then, we ll check into our hotel for an overnight stay. The exhibitions portray the lives of ordinary people who lived in rural Ireland from We ll continue on into Sligo. At the Drumcliffe Visitor Centre, we ll see the grave of one of Ireland s most influential poets, W.B. Yeats. Follow the Atlantic shoreline of Donegal Bay to Belleek where we ll visit the Belleek Pottery Factory. See how skilled craftspeople form clay to produce delicate porcelain masterpieces. We ll continue to Derry and check into our hotel and enjoy dinner. Meals: B, D Day 9 Derry Tour / Giant s Causeway & Shean s Farm This morning enjoy a walking tour of central Derry. We ll see the 17th century city walls, which are some of the best-preserved in Europe, and the main central square. Also pass St. Columb s Cathedral, the Tower Museum, and Guildhall. Next, we ll stop just outside of Portrush to visit Dunluce Castle. This structure sits on basalt rock jutting out over the sea, reached by a wooden walkway. During the 16th century it was home to the MacQuillans, and later the MacDonnells. We ll continue north to explore the Giant s Causeway, huge hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago. The rocks have given rise to many legends, especially involving Finn McCool. Next, we ll visit Shean s Farm and watch a turf cutting demonstration. After our visit, return to Derry for dinner at the hotel. Meals: B, D Dunluce Castle Day 10 Belfast Sightseeing / Titanic Belfast After enjoying a traditional Irish breakfast, we ll travel to Belfast and embark on a tour of the city. We ll see the Albert Memorial and the ornate Victorian buildings of the Opera House and the Crown Liquor Saloon. In Donegall Square view the imposing City Hall, completed in The richly decorated interior contains stained glass portraying Belfast s principal industries. In the Titanic Quarter, we ll visit Titanic Belfast. Learn about the life of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast to her tragic end. After our visit, we ll drive to Trim and check into our castle hotel. Meals: B, D Day 11 Travel Home Sadly, our journey through Ireland must come to an end.
