2 Ireland Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland located on the East Coast at the mouth of the River Liffey. Its historic buildings include Dublin Castle, dating to the 13th century, and imposing St Patrick s Cathedral, founded in Wonderful to explore with it s crooked cobblestone streets and quaint pubs on almost ever corner. The locals are super friendly, you will feel right at home in colourful Dublin. Wexford is steeped in myth and legend! This medieval town was founded in the early 900 s by the Vikings. Their legacy includes the current narrow winding streets and our town s name, Wexford, derived from the Norse, meaning inlet of the mudflats It was also the location for the 1997 opening scenes of the movie Saving Private Ryan. Kenmare lies on two noted Irish tourist routes, the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. As a result, it is a popular destination known for its food and quaint pubs.the immediate attractions of Kenmare and its surrounding area are obvious. Known as the jewel in the Ring of Kerry, it s a beautiful heritage town with a pedigree of Tidy Towns wins to its credit, located amidst some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. 4 Day 1 Welcome to Dublin! Private transfers are available upon request Check into Hotel which has been arranged for the next three nights This evening you will meet you new friends and our Local Representative to enjoy a welcome aperitif followed by a wonderful 3 course dinner in the hotel restaurant with beer, wine & soft drinks included Gresham Hotel, Dublin (or similar) Dublin D Day 2 After breakfast, meet with your Local Guide, coach and driver, for a morning sightseeing of Dublin s major sights including a visit to Trinity College. Lunch and the rest if the day is at your leisure. Gresham Hotel, Dublin (or similar) B Day 3 Today is a free day to explore Dublin at your leisure. You could visit the National Museum of Ireland or the National Gallery. Or for something completely different, explore the Guinness Storehouse and see how the famous Irish brew is made. We recommend a drink or two or perhaps lunch or dinner at Ireland s oldest Pub The Brazen Head which dates back to Gresham Hotel, Dublin (or similar) B Day 4 After breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet your coach and driver and transfer to Wexford Town where you will first visit the great Victorian Wells House and its Gardens. 5 Day 5 After breakfast, meet with your Local Guide, coach and driver for a tour of Wexford s Town Centre then we continue on to visit New Ross, an historic walled town located on the River Barrow. Inside the walls is one of the largest medieval churches in the country. Get your credit card ready, we are then visiting the famous Waterford Crystal Factory in Waterford before returning to your Hotel. Tonight Dinner with beer, wine & soft drinks has been arranged in local restaurant Clayton White Hotel, Wexford (or similar) B, D Day 6 Today is a free day at your leisure. Optional sightseeing tours are available on request. You could visit to Loftus Hall, the most haunted house in Ireland or perhaps visit Johnstone Castle built in 1169 featuring lakes and walled gardens covering 4 acres. On the way we will have a brief stop in Cork, a university city with its centre on an island in the River Lee.
