2 Regional Organizational Structure Initiative Pierian Cara wants to change org structure of Pierians as we grow. Believes it to be more beneficial to meet on regional basis. Travel is an issue. Asks for consideration on this. Will put together task force to consider this regional structure. Artistic Expression Initiative Pierian Cara would like us to get back to this as a focus for our Pierian Inc. organization. Membership and Programming Some Presidents have asked for adjustments for getting members installed also to exchange ideas and best practices. Asking Pierian Verna to highlight examples of chapter activities rather than presenting lengthy program reports from each chapter. Want to be more succinct. Honorary Members want to follow and highlight and showcase what they are doing. Social Networking Initiative Pierian Cara is working with Pierian Sonne-Seree on project plan over summer. Pierian Sone-Seree to do Facebook. Pierian Sone Seere introduced herself. Pierian Barbara will get FB page access to her. Pierian Anne Haley (Pittsburgh) to be chair of Award Committee National Assembly Contract signed to be held at Omni Wm Penn Hotel (Olde World Charm) in Pittsburgh Oct 20-23,

3 Housekeeping Dates for future conference call meetings to come soon within the week. Want all reports in before Exec Board Meetings. Pierian Karen and Pierian Barbara to have them for minutes of each meeting. Strategic Plan Looking into regional focus and making sure we have artistic expression at Exec Meetings. Meeting with Presidents quarterly to discuss all aspects of our org. Budget and Finance - Barbara Jarvis Pierian Barbara reported $ Checking account balance. $31 +? PayPal $ CD $ total assets Bad News - Bank charge because money due to treasury didn t come in timely fashion. Treasury had paid for Ashanti and crystal pins and bags, etc. for chapters and not yet reimbursed. Detroit only chapter who sent in roster. No one except Hilton Head (paid in advance) has sent dues payments. (Pierian Cara) How PNC Bank transition coming? Present Bank of America not avail where all chapters do business inhibits inclusion limits who can run for Financial Officer. (Ex. Neither Pierian Cornelia nor Pierian Barbara can run again for financial office because of bank locations inconvenience). (Pierian Sylvia) Suggestion for a Payments Due calendar for chapters to follow. 3

4 Pierian Barbara updating budget to base it on Pierian Cara s Initiatives and new membership counts. Want to put money aside for blasts, etc. when needed. She and Pierian Cara to work offline. Starting next year budget based on $80 dues (last budget was $70 dues). Storage unit up to $85 from $80 represents an increase. Financial Secretary - Cornelia Robertson-Terry Pierian Cornelia reported No dues received. Wants Pierian Cara to re-send the to remind. Only 15 days left to get the dues payments in. Has received some pin payments. Pierian LaNesha has Detroit check. Sending next day or so. Committee Reports Chapter Establishment LaNesha DeBardelaben (see Report submitted) Goal to charter one more chapter by next Assembly (Pierian Connie) Wants to look at N Carolina for a chapter. Pierian Connie to send contact info to LaNesha. Question: How far across the country can we go? (Pierian Cara) No bounds California, NJ, Philly, NY, just as long as they are committed. Constitution, Bylaws and Protocol - Francis Faithful Committee meeting in Pittsburgh in July to go over all documents so by Sept meeting will have all done Constitution, Protocol, Rituals, By Laws, everything. 4
