Sunshine Retreads I want to thank everyone who participated in our Spring Ride In in Daytona. By my count, we had 60 registered members attend, not including our guests. I was very proud of the turnout and greatly appreciate the assistance I got in setting up for the meeting. We are currently at 175 card carrying members and at the end of March, I will be submitting our registration fees to the International office. At that time, I will cease sending the newsletter to non-card carrying members from my current roster. I will still accept renewals and new membership requests. Once again, I want to thank Jack and Carol Shardine for all their help in the shift in leadership and for inviting our special guest, Marvin Paunch, to our luncheon. As the weather warms and we begin to see more great riding days, I want to wish everyone safe rides and caution each of you to look out for the other guys on the road. As Karen and I came home from Daytona, we were passed by a couple of sport bike riders who seemed to think that I-95 was their private speedway as they passed us at over 90 MPH, weaving through the traffic, between cars and even using the emergency lane to get to wherever they were in such a hurry to get. These riders, unfortunately, give all who enjoy motorcycle riding, a bad reputation. So, use your signals, watch your spacing, wear your safety equipment and drive respectfully. A biker never wins in a crash.
