Doigan. 7AT STOCKS IN STORE Canadian wheat in store for the week ending August 22, 1941 deoreased 688,481 bushels as compared with the previous week and increased 169,445,288 bushels when compared with the corresponding week in 1940 The amount in store was reported as 462,319,824 bushels compared with 463,008,305 bushels for the previous week and 292,874,536 bushels for the week of August 23, The stocks of 462,319,824 bushels include 1,793,164 bushels of Durum wheat 1 CANADIAN 'JJAT I N CANADA The wheat stocks in elevators in Canada f or the week ending August 22, 1941 were 432,488,167 bushels compared with 431,529,744 bushels for the previous week and 261,662,168 bushels for the corresponding week last year 1 Stocks of wheat in Canadian elevators were located as follows: Western Country Elevators 208,335,000; Interior Terminals ,983; Vancouver-New Westminster 17,805,877; Victoria 1,009,143; Prince Rupert 1,207,975; 1Churchill 2,617,396; Fort William and Port Arthur 88,317,100; Eastern Elevators Lake Ports 41,007,588 and Eastern Elevators Seaboard Ports 24,001,815 bushels 1 Incroasee wore noted at Western Country Elevators of 510,000; Interior Terminals 137,975; Vancouver-New Westminster ; Victoria 9,131; Fort William and Port Arthur 5,197,780 and Eastern Elevators Seaboard Ports 561,097 bushels, while Eastern Elevators Lake Ports decreased 418,107 bushels. 5 I -2- EXPORT CURA:'CES During the week ending August 22, 1941 the export clearances overseas of Canadian wheat amounted to 2,549,269 buhels. This compared with 1,947,543 bushels for the corresponding week in The accumulated total for the period from August 1, 1941 to August 22, 1941 was 8,487,435 bushels compared with ,548 bushels a year ago PRI MARY MOVEMENT ttheat receipts in the Prairie Provinces for the week ending August 22, 1941 amounted to 5,859,940 bushels, an increase of 2,234,408 bushels over the revised figures of the previous week when 3,625,532 bushels were marketed, During the corresponding week a year ago the receipts wore 10,717,256 bushels, By provinces the receipts for the week ending August 22, 1941 were as follows, figures within brackets being those for 1940; Manitoba 1,455,737 (2,753,195); Saskatchewan 2,961,436 (6,195,539); Alberta 1,442,767 (1,768,522) bushels, Marketings in the three Prairie Provinces for the three weeks from August 1, 1941 to August 22, 1941 as compared with the same period in 1940 were as follows, figures within brackets being those for 1940: Manitoba 2,748,282 (4,411,361); Saskatchewan 4,772,656 (8,985;776); Alberta 2,859,403 (4,237,084); bushels For the three weeks ending August 22, 1041 and the same period in ,380,341 and 17,634,221 bushels were received from the farms.
