19 Safety First We acquired two state-of-the-art Emergency Response vehicles, completed the associated operator training and successfully completed response time trials to new Runway 17L-35R
20 Safety First The Calgary Airport Authority was recognized for its Automated External Defibrillation ( AED ) program with a citizen s recognition award after on-site EMS staff used one of YYC s twenty-five AEDs to save the life of a passenger.

27 Airport Operations & Development A new Aircraft Visual Docking and Guidance System was installed at the bridgeheads to allow aircraft to dock and unload passengers without ground crews.
