As we get ready for the adventure to start PLEASE REVIEW this bulletin for IMPORTANT INFORMATION! REGISTERING A Young Squire (Tiger)? We welcome our newest Cub Scouts to attend camp. A Tiger would be a boy or girl who will be entering the 1st Grade in Fall It is required that an adult parent/partner is with the Tiger at all times. The ratio of Tiger scout to adult is 1 to 1. LUNCH/FOOD Please make sure to pack a LUNCH AND SNACK for your son each day. We are a NUT FREE camp! We want to make camp safe for ALL attendees. We will be dedicating sufficient lunch space for a peanut/nut free table(s). If your child has allergies, please make sure to include them on the required HEALTH HISTORY form, and discuss any concerns/ treatments with the medical officer or camp director on day one. *NOTE: Thursday is a short day! Pick up is at 2:30 P.M. following the program. Program starts at 12:15 P.M. PLEASE Join Us! CAMP CHECK LIST Please send the following items daily in a small backpack. 2 The TRADING POST will be open for purchases over the lunch hour and before camp starts & ends daily. Please do not send valuable items with your KNIGHT. We cannot be responsible for lost or possible damage. They will be asked to place any ELECTRONIC ITEMS their backpacks during program hours. Lunches/Snacks will be gathered at the beginning of each day and stored in a cooler. However, please make sure that your lunch choices do not require refrigeration to keep from spoiling. We don t want any Scouts to become ill. DROP OFF/ PICK UP/PARKING We will have a 100+ scouts being dropped off & picked up every day. The logistics of arrival & departure are tricky (think school pickup). We will be directing cars for drop off and pick up. Please use the southern most driveway to ENTER It will be designed as a drop off circle with an EXIT to the east on Stark Road. We will be marking our list as your Brave Knight arrives & departs. We will have a limited parking for volunteers/visitors. If possible stay in your cars we will come to you! If you want to park & come up please do not park in the traffic circle. Along Stark Road will probably be the safest option. DAY ONE will always be the hardest so please practice some patience. - DIRECTIONS TO MIDWAY TOWN HALL - From Hermantown: Take Midway Road South. Just after Stark Road the town hall will be on the left across from a white church. From Duluth/Two Harbors: (35N) to the Midway Road Exit (246). Take a right at the bottom of the ramp onto Midway Road. From Proctor: Take Hwy 2 North to either St Louis Rive Road or Midway Road at a left onto Midway Road. The town hall will be on your left just past Stark Road across from a white church.

3 IMPORTANT!! HEALTH HISTORY FORMS All participants are required to complete a HEALTH HISTORY Form A and B. No physical exam or physician signature is required. FORMS must be turned in at drop off on the 1 st day of camp or ed to THEA before camp starts. They will be returned to you on the last day. Our goal is to keep your Scout safe. NEED HELP? GOTTA QUESTION? If during camp, you need to speak with someone about a concern or have a question, please look for an adult in an RED CAMP T-SHIRT or a BSA uniformed adult. PLEASE make sure you convey any important information directly such as early pick up, a new person authorized to pick up, etc. Scouts are trustworthy but they aren t the best messengers. - PLEASE NOTE - The camp activities will primarily be OUTDOORS. - Please make sure your scout dresses for the weather. - Please send a jacket/sweatshirt each day just in case. - Please make sure your scout is wearing solid, closed toed footwear no flips flops, no open toes. On the first day, your scout will be given 2 camp T-shirts. We would love for them to wear them each day however realize that there is a challenge with washing it. Please have them wear their shirt on THURSDAY for the program. It is advised that you APPLY BUG SPRAY & SUN BLOCK to your scout each morning. Send non-aerosol bug spray & sun block with your Scout in their backpack. We will only assist scouts in reapplying their own products. This is to avoid allergic reactions. WATER Please make sure to send a water bottle with your scout every day. He will be able to fill and refill it throughout the day. We want to make sure they are drinking plenty of water as it may be hot and the scouts will be active. ARCHERERS READY!!!FIRE!! NOTICES OF CHANGES We will anticipate your Scout attending camp every day (Monday Thursday) for the entire day s programming. If he/she cannot attend because of illness or other scheduling reasons, or will be late or picked up early, please make sure to call/text one of the contacts listed & send a note with your scout.

4 ADVENTURES/ ELECTIVES At the end of camp, we will be providing you/your Brave Knight with a list of achievements that they have completed while at camp. Depending on your Pack/Den, you can either give this to your Den leader or enter it into your tracking system. The important part is that your Scout will be very proud of what they have completed so please share with him/her what doing their best has achieved. VOLUNTEERS Please be aware that this camp is staffed with VOLUNTEERS. They have most likely taken time off work to create a FUN program experience for your Scout. What this means is that sometimes the best plans may not account for all scenarios. Mistakes may be made. Our goal is to have a safe environment in which the scouts can have fun. If you have concerns, please let Thea or an adult wearing a RED camp shirt/bsa uniform know. We will work to address anything that arises. Want to Become ROYALTY! If you are interested in volunteering, Day Camp is a great way to spend some time with your son or daughter. We are always looking for volunteers to run activities, walk with Scout groups, etc. PACKS sending Scouts need to send an adult for every 5 Scouts registered. If you are interested in volunteering just for a day or two, or the whole week please contact Thea. CAMPFIRE PROGRAM We would like to invite all parents to come to camp on THURSDAY for our CAMPFIRE PROGRAM at 12:30p. Let our BRAVE KNIGHTS entertain you! Our program will last no later than 2:00 P.M. afterwards you are welcome to take your Scout home with you. If you are unable to accommodate an early pickup or cannot attend the Campfire Program, we will have activities for the Scouts until the regular 4:15 P.M. pickup time. PLEASE BRING A CHAIR OR A BLANKET TO SIT ON for the Campfire. Scouts will be sitting with their day camp groups.

We try our best to provide fun activities that are best suited for the Scouts.
