Clifford Nae ole Clifford Nae ole is an expert in Hawaiian culture with 30 years of travel and hospitality experience. Currently the Cultural Advisor for the Ritz-Carlton Kapulua and The Kapulua Land Company, Clifford is a member of Halau Maui Nui O Kahui A Kama, Maui s only all male Hula and chant school. As a Council member of the Maui-Lanai Island Burial Council and President of the Native Hawaiian Tourism and Hospitality Association, Clifford will welcome guests with the warmth of Aloha and the spirit of the people of the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaiian Welcome Ceremony Clifford Nae ole, The Kapalua Land Company A traditional Hawaiian chant will open the 40th Annual Convention and Tech Fair. Following the chant, the kukui nut lei ceremony will begin. The kukui nut is a mainstay in Hawaiian culture. The oil from its flesh provides light and it is used as a medicinal cure. It is the state tree and a symbol of unity and prosperity. When showcased in a lei, the kukui represents how everyone is connected as one. One cannot break the connection. The lei symbolizes one s life journey. The lei stands for leadership and accomplishment. By receiving the lei, attendees will spread the aloha spirit through respect and admiration. This presentation will help concrete cutting contractors understand the technology and benefits of adding concrete scanning to their service offerings. Business designations are available for companies owned and operated by women, veterans, minorities and others, but can be confusing.
