3 Rachel Neal, operating a red Ford (AV54PP), was traveling Southeast on US 20 near Southbound IR75 when she slowed down to stop for a red light. Virtis Elion, operating a white Ford (Michigan registration 9705F2), was traveling Southeast on US 20 directly behind Rachel. Virtis advised he kept driving forward because he thought Rachel was starting to move. Virtis hit the back of the Rachel's vehicle. When I first arrived on scene I asked all occupants if anyone was injured and they all replied they were fine. Officer Dayton also asked all occupants if they were injured when he arrived on scene and again everyone stated they were okay. At this time we moved the vehicles from the middle of the roadway to the side of the roadway for safety reasons. A short time later one of the passengers of the red Ford, Sarah Deanda, stated she thought she may have injured her head and wanted medics to respond. Medics released Sarah on scene. Pictures were taken of the vehicles. Virtis was issued a citation for ACDA (ORC A(MM)) and given non-mandatory court date of August 7, 2012 at 4:45pm at Perrysburg Municipal Court. Indiana Av., I observed a vehicle approaching me at what appeared to be greater than the posted 25 MPH speed limit. I estimated the vehicle's speed to be 40 MPH. I activated radar unit E27139 in moving mode, and observed an approaching speed of 41 MPH with a corresponding audio tone. As the vehicle continued toward me, the vehicle's speed increased to 45 MPH. The vehicle then passed me and I observed that it was a dark blue mini van. There were no other vehicles eastbound on W. Indiana Av. I stopped the blue Dodge Caravan (OH-FLX3009), and identified the driver as Tracey Harder. I asked Ms. Harder if there was an emergency or if she knew what the speed limit was. She stated there was no emergency, and she was not from the area and did not know the speed limit. I issued her a citation for Speed, (B)(2) MM, and gave her a court date of 8/7/2012 at 1645 hours.the calibration of radar unit E27139 was checked and found to be accurate at 0600 hours on 8/3/2012. I observed a white sedan traveling S on Ft Meigs at what appeared to be over the posted speed limit of 35 mph. I estimated the vehicle to be traveling at about 50 mph. I used laser unit TS to perform a speed check and found the vehicle to be traveling as fast as 51 mph with the last check being 50 mph. I intiated a traffic stop and advised the driver, Ms. Bai, why I had stopped her. Ms. Bai advised she was running late in going to church. There were two juveniles in the back seat of the car. Ms. Bai was cited with speed.i had good tracking, no interference, and a calibration check was done at about 1530 hrs. While on another call I observed them near 979 Lover preparing to spray paint house numbers on the curb. They were advised that they could not do that. 16 Reported by: Schmaltz, David E-3220 Date: 08/02/12 10:16:25 A gold, 2005 GMC Yukon XL was observed parked, unattended, in the posted handicap parking space nearest the entrance to the Cracker Barrel restaurant, without a placard or permit displayed. I exited my cruiser to investigate further when I observed an Ohio issued placard (1H11558) lying on the dash. The placard expired in November The placard, issued in 2001, had no registration information in LEADS, unlike the vehicle which is registered to 83 year-old Lois Rickert of Oregon, Ohio. I checked Rickert for a valid permit or placard through LEADS, but none was found. Parking citation P5407 was completed and left on the windshield of the vehicle.
