2 Information regarding crimes and anti-social behaviour for each area in January 27 WB43/BC - Crimes Two drivers filled up with fuel and drove off without paying at Forton services. An unknown offender cut off the padlocks on a container kept at premises in Oakenclough, and stole a quad bike and tools. An unknown offender unlocked a vehicle at Rivers View Fold, Lower Dolphinholme, but nothing was taken. Unknown offenders used a ladder to access a rear window at a property at Rivers View Fold and stole jewellery and electronic items. An offender, upset that he had lost a bet, threw a stool at a member of staff at the betting shop at Forton services, damaging a computer. An offender used six counterfeit 2 notes in a gaming machine at Forton services. ASB A male in Forton reported receiving threatening and abusive texts from a former employee. Asbestos was fly tipped on Ratcliffe Wharf Lane, Forton. A male In Forton was reported to have made threatening comments about his partner from who he is separating. A male on Cleveley Bank Lane, Forton, reported being threatened by a group of travellers. WB44/BC2 Crimes An unknown offender used a key or similar tool to scratch a vehicle parked on Bonds Lane. A male was arrested after admitting sexual contact with a female under the age of consent. Three or four unknown male offenders seriously assaulted a male who challenged them as they tried to force entry to garage premises at the rear of the Kenlis Arms. An unknown offender ripped a wooden door off a garage at premises on Greenacres Drive then used tools in the garage to cut the lock off a bike and stole a mountain bike. A satnav was removed from an unsecured vehicle parked at a property on Sullom View. A satnav and sunglasses were removed from a vehicle that had possibly been left unsecured at a property on Greenacres Drive. Unknown offenders used a tool to force the lock on a garage door at a property on Clematis Drive, Barnacre, and removed a bike and a can of coca cola. The bike, minus the wheels, was recovered at the top of the street. Unknown offenders forced the garage lock on a second property on Clematis Drive and took tools and electronics from the work bench. An unknown offender entered an unattended vehicle on Tarnacre View and made a search before leaving empty handed. Unknown offenders entered an unsecured vehicle at Waters Edge Green and took archery equipment. A young person in a children s home in Barnacre had to be restrained by staff when refusing to leave an area to which access was prohibited. The young person bit a member of staff and smashed a plate (there were two reports of this incident). ASB No reported incidents of ASB this month WB45/BC3 Crimes A female in Cabus threatened then assaulted a paramedic with a knife after deciding she didn t want to be treated. An unknown offender during an unspecified time has approached a secure unattended park home which is located on a large site whilst the occupant was absent. The offender has used a specialised tool to break the door lock and then entered the premises and made an untidy search of the entire building removing property from draws and cupboards. Offender has then left the building as per the entry point undetected. Unknown offender(s) entered a private field used as a caravan storage facility during unknown timeframe. They have then used a flat bladed implement to gain entry to 5 separate caravans however nothing was stolen. They have then made off undetected. ASB No reported incidents of ASB this month WB46/BC4 Crimes A car registration plate was removed from a vehicle parked in Sainsbury s car park. An unknown offender smashed a rear patio window at a property on Dorchester and searched the property before leaving empty handed. Two males stole sweets and juice from Booths. A male was punched in a family dispute on Moss Lane. Unknown offenders filled a food trolley at Booths and left it in the store
3 unattended before a second offender removed the trolley and left without paying. An unknown offender has approached the rear of a semidetached dwelling on Leicester Avenue and using an unknown implement smashed the patio door glass gaining entry to the kitchen. The offender has then searched entire property pulling items from drawers and cupboards but left the property via point of entry taking no items, undetected. ASB Residents reported four separate incidents of car engines revving and loud music on High Street car park. A female on Wyreside Close reported a drunken male neighbour who had lost his keys and couldn t get into his house. An elderly resident on Oak Road reported receiving cold calls. A resident of Birch Road reported a mini motorbike driving up and down. WB47/BC5 Crime A male sent a threatening message on Facebook to another male on Thornbank Drive. A male head-butted another male who was his employer in Catterall during an employment dispute. A named offender damaged property belonging to an ex partner on Keepers Wood Way. A male was found to have a small quantity of cannabis when stopped for a minor motoring offence in Topiary Gardens. Unknown offenders have approached a building site Garstang Road and having gained entry though the security fencing have approached a shipping container at the rear of the site and managed to cut through/force the padlock on the shipping container door, they have then removed the property and left the scene undetected. ASB A resident reported finding a number of needles on the bridle path off Catterall Gates Lane. WB48/BC6 Crimes An unknown offender assaulted a male on the dance floor at Guys, striking him in the face with a glass. An offender also hit a member of staff who was trying to defuse the incident. An unknown offender stole a scooter from a garden on Sycamore Road, Bilsborrow. Three male offenders forced metal panels of spiked fencing at a business premises in Claughton to gain entry, then placed tape over the PIR sensor preventing the security light from activating and used ladders to turn CCTV cameras. The offenders used and angle grinder to gain entry to three steel containers and took a number of reels of heavy duty copper cable. They cut the lock on the front gate and loaded the reels into a white high sided vehicle before driving off. An offender cut the main gas pipe close to Barton Grange leading to a gas leak. A female in Bilsborrow assaulted a male neighbour, hitting him in the face. Offenders forced open three metal gates at a business premises in Bilsborrow, and took scrap items which they put in a white van. The offenders were sighted by a witness who followed them and the vehicle was stopped and a male arrested on the M65. A male in Bilsborrow was hit around the head by his wife during a verbal altercation. A female in Claughton reported that she had been contacted by a former partner in breach of a restraining order. A female was assaulted in a property in Bilsborrow. An unknown offender approached a mobile phone left on desk in classroom at a local college and stole same undetected. ASB A male was reported for fly tipping on Bleasdale Lane. A female reported on-going issues with a neighbour in Bilsborrow. A male was reported to be kicking and threatening customers at Guys. A young male was reported to be causing nuisance in the reception area of the Premier Inn and a second incident regarding the same person was reported the following day. A flooded section of Bilsborrow lane was reported to the police. WD7/BC7 Crimes A female in Great Eccleston was assaulted by her ex partner who had asked to meet her to discuss their relationship. An unknown offender scaled a four foot gate to access the rear or a property on Raikes Road, Great Eccleston, and forced open French doors but left empty handed. An unknown offender smashed a rear glass panel at a property on Pennine Way, Great Eccleston and stole money and other property before leaving by removing wooden fencing and using an adjoining property to get to the street. Two unknown males,
4 purporting to be debt collectors, threatened a male in Tarnacre Lane, St Michael s, with a baseball bat. Unknown offenders smashed a panel on a side door at a property on Garstang Road, St Michael s, and unlocked the door to gain access and took jewellery and computer equipment. Unknown offenders stole bottles of milk from outside a property on Wentworth Ave, Inskip. Unknown offenders entered two detached properties on a building site on Preston Road, Inskip, and stole a quantity of tools, electrical appliances and equipment. In one property as the offenders left they slammed a door causing the glass to break. An unknown offender stole a battery from outside a caravan stored at a caravan site at Great Eccleston. Also a large number of battery lockers were damaged at a caravan storage facility on Rawcliffe Road, St Michaels and the batteries contained within were stolen by offenders who then made off undetected. A female in Out Rawcliffe punched her partner in the face in a domestic dispute. Unknown offenders forced the lock on metal gates at a plant storage yard on Lancaster Road, Out Rawcliffe, then forced the padlock on a storage building and taking heavy duty batteries. Unknown offenders removed two batteries from a digger at a building site on Raikes Road, Great Eccleston. ASB A female reported that she was being bullied and harassed by people at stables in Out Rawcliffe. A female in Out Rawcliffe reported being verbally abused by her neighbours. A female reported being followed while driving through Out Rawcliffe by another female who had already been warned for harassment. A car was reported stolen by the estranged partner of the aggrieved party from the Out Rawcliffe area but on the police returning to the property the aggrieved has stated that she was confused and that she did not wish to continue with her complaint as the car had been returned. WD8/BC8 Crimes A male was assaulted in a domestic incident by another male in the Pilling area. ASB A female in Pilling asked for advice on a family dispute. A resident in Pilling reported maintenance problems with a wind turbine on Horse Park Lane. There was a report of bird flu being present in Pilling. WD9/BC9 Crimes A male assaulted a female in an altercation on the Esplanade. A male in Knott End assaulted his girlfriend following a New Year s Eve party. Two males dropped off on Quailholme Road, having had a dispute over the fare with a taxi driver, threw something at the rear window of the taxi as it turned road and smashing the window, both males were caught by police and in agreement with the taxi driver the damage was paid for without a formal prosecution. An unknown offender, claiming to be from an internet service provided, tried to obtain personal information from a resident on Hawkeshead Road. Two young people were reported to have posted indecent images of each other on a social networking site after a row. A female in Preesall reported that an ex-partner continued to pay her unwanted attention. A male was reported to have stolen a wage packet from the Knott End Working Mens Club. A female was assaulted in a domestic incident on the Esplanade. An unknown offender has approached a simple wire fence and uprooted the posts and cut the wire on Fluke Hall Lane. An offender, without authority of the owner, has removed horse from stables on Green Lane, Preesall after which they have made off undetected. An unknown offender during daylight hours has approached a locked and secure vehicle on Clarence Avenue and using sharp implement went along 3 panels causing a wavy line of permanent damage before leaving the scene in an unknown direction undetected. An investigation is underway after a report of a young person possibly being sexually abused by another family member in the family who no longer lives in the Preesall area. A family member attempted to remove and sell items from another family address on Pilling Lane without the consent of the rest of the family. However all the property taken was recovered and returned to the rightful owner who did not want to take the matter further.
5 ASB A group of teenagers was reported to be causing nuisance on Grasmere Drive. A male reported loud music coming from a property in St Bernard s Road. A resident on Meadow Close, Preesall was reported for being very noisy, screaming and drunk throwing items and disturbing the neighbours. A male was reported for threatening behaviour to another male on Rosslyn Avenue, Preesall. WD/BC Crimes Unknown offenders forced open a window at a wooden building used as an office on Salt Marsh Lane, Hambleton, and took tools and equipment. Unknown offenders took the beading and a glass pane from a window at a glass business on Carr Lane, triggering the alarm. The offender left leaving a screwdriver behind. An offender being under the influence of drugs damaged a mirror at a property on Broadpool Lane, Hambleton. A male threw a glass at a stained glass window at the Village Off-Licence in Hambleton breaking a piece of stained glass. A female in Hambleton was held prisoner for a short period in a domestic violence incident in Hambleton. ASB A male in Hambleton reported receiving a number of text messages from an unknown number. A female in Stalmine reported being harassed for over a year by a male. A resident in Woodland Close, Hambleton, reported a cold caller who became nasty after the resident refused to buy anything from him. A property management company reported being refused entry to a property on Ingol Drive when they needed to carry out safety checks.
