1 CORVETTE CLUB OF RHODE ISLAND Volume 52 Issue 4 April 1 st 2016 Vette Set Gazette 3.0 Well it s March, we have celebrated St. Patrick s Day, St. Joseph s Day, welcoming daylight savings time, and by the publishing of this News Letter we have welcomed SPRING, with a pending snow storm around the corner. Only in New England. Proud to announce that the Rhode Island Food Bank has presented to the Corvette Club of Rhode Island and its members a certificate of appreciation for donating over a 1000 pounds of food this month. As you all know our food drive brought in over 3000 pounds of food, and we are looking forward to beating that goal this year for our community in need. The Museum In Motion, Marbles and Glass is in full swing. The Newport Daily News did a press release mentioning the excitement coming to Newport along with the Corvette Club of Rhode Island. Newport will surely never be the same after this event. Our Corvettes by the Sea is shaping up nicely, with vendor letters going out soon. If any member has a vendor they would like to have included in our event, please see our Vice President, Ray Tudino or Liliana Dolan and they will give you the proper information in extending an invitation to a Vendor to be a participant in our show. Our Sponsor, Paul Masse has solidified their flyer for Vettetacular on Saturday, June 18 th, please be sure to save the date as the Corvette Club of Rhode Island will be calling on volunteers to help our sponsor make this a successful event. All of our volunteers here at Corvette Club of Rhode Island are hard at work for our members, from Activities to Quartermaster. Please be sure you get involved with all the wonderful activities they have in store for us. The Corvette Club of Rhode Island is successful because of our members, and the unified friendships we have made through the years. I am proud to be your President and look forward to sharing a wonderful Corvette season with you all.
