As we approach the holiday season please all remember to be safe. Please continue to take all the necessary precautions locking doors and windows when in and out of your home or office. Ensure your garage door is closed and locked. Ensure nothing is visible in your parked car and remember not to leave your garage door opener in your car as we are seeing home burglaries where access is gained via the garage door opener stolen from the vehicle. We are also finally getting some much needed rain, however with that comes concerns for pedestrians and drivers alike. Pedestrians please wear reflective gear when out at night as this will help with visibility. So often pedestrians are wearing dark clothing and are very difficult to see in the dark evenings. Also pedestrians please make sure to look prior to entering a cross walk. I see so many pedestrians dart into the cross walk and many are not paying attention i.e. on their phones and really are trusting that drivers see them and can stop. Please do not take this for granted ensure for your own safety that you look before you enter the crosswalk and allow drivers enough time to stop. Drivers please ensure you are paying attention and slow down. Speed is what kills people pedestrians and drivers alike. This is the season for giving and in that spirit we here at Park Station are collecting sox and blankets. These blankets and sox will be distributed by our officers to the people in our community who are in need. Feel free to drop these items at our Station 1899 Waller St. We are also collecting new unwrapped toys as part of the San Francisco Police Department s Toy Drive. SFPD is partnering with Walgreens in this Drive. These toys can be dropped at Park Station or at any Walgreens. The toys will be distributed city wide to under privileged children between December st. Thank you all in advance for your generosity. Remember always take the time to be safe. Captain Una Bailey Next Community Meeting: Tuesday, February 12, :00p.m.-8:00p.m. Park Station s Community Room 1899 Waller Street Please follow the below link to subscribe to our newsletter list: sanfranciscopolice.org/parknewsletters Please follow us on Twitter SFPDPark.

2 Park Police Station Page 2 Thanksgiving feast for Lawton healthcare center In the above photos, Officer Deleon and Officer Divina delivering the food to Lawton Healthcare Center With the holidays approaching, Captain Bailey and Park Station Officers wanted to make sure we gave back to the community. We are all so grateful here at Park Station and wanted to share a nice, warm meal with community. With our funds, we could host a Thanksgiving day dinner that could feed approximately individuals. Thankfully, we were able to contact Dan Daly of Lawton Healthcare Center located at 1575 Lawton St (cross of 7th Ave), and we were able to arranged a Thanksgiving day feast for the residence of this facility. On Thursday, November 22, 2018, Park Station Officer Matthew Divina and Officer Deleon, went to the Diamond Heights Safeway to picked up three entire (3) turkeys, two (2) whole hams, an assortment of delicious holiday sides, which included mashed potatoes, cream spinach, stuffing, corn, cranberry sauce, and three (3) pumpkin pies to complete the perfect Thanksgiving meal. Officer Divina and Officer Deleon delivered this abundance to the Lawton Healthcare Center. The residence were so grateful and happy to receive such a large and elaborate meal that was prepared for them. Thank you to the San Francisco Police Department Community Engagement Division, and Dan Daly for allowing Park Station to provide the opportunity to donate the Thanksgiving meal to the senior residence at Lawton Healthcare Center.

The residence were extremely pleased and very grateful for the turkey delivery. The residence asked to take photos with the generous officers to remember this wonderful event. Thank you to Officer Hunt, Officer Madrieres, and Officer Calvo Perez for taking the time and distributing the turkeys to the low income housing residence.

4 Park Police Station Page 4 Sock and Blanket Drive For the past 8 years, Officers Ryan Crockett and Jeffrey Sung, have reached out to our community members to help the less fortunate, by providing clean blankets, and socks to those that have possibly neither during the holidays. On Officers Crockett and Sung s own time and dime, they buy blankets and socks to distribute to those who are less fortunate and do not have blankets and/or socks, while also providing city services. If you, or someone you know, can help Park Station by donating a new clean blanket, and/or men s, women s, or children s socks, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness. 8 Park Police Station Page 8 Supervisor of the Month Captain Bailey has named Lieutenant Bernadette Robinson as the Supervisor Of The Month for November. Lt Bernadette Robinson This month I want to bring your attention to one of our outstanding supervisors, Sergeant Bernadette Robinson soon to be Lieutenant Bernadette Robinson. Last week I had the absolute pleasure and honor of notifying Sergeant Robinson of her promotion to the rank of Lieutenant. It actually was bitter sweet as when a member is promoted it also means that person promoted will be assigned to another station or assignment and will therefore be leaving Park Station. She will be a major loss to our station as Bernadette brings so much to the table. When you meet Bernadette her love for her job is one outstanding part of her and the other would have to be her great big smile. Bernadette is always happy to be in her job and gives the sense that she can and will make a difference and she does and did. She has the skill set to make a great leader as her enthusiasm for what she does and her positive attitude allow her to succeed where many others have not. Lieutenant Robinson worked the midnight watch as a Sergeant and was much liked and admired by the rank and file. In addition to her work here at the station Lieutenant Robinson is about to graduate from the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institution, which is no small feat and is a great achievement. Lieutenant Robinson was born and raised in Double Rock, San Francisco, where she lived until she was 24 years old when she bought her first home in San Francisco. She loves to cook as the midnight watch can attest to. She loves to spend time with her family, listening to music, reading and watching old movies. Lieutenant Robinson started her law enforcement career in 1996 as San Francisco Dispatcher and by 2003 she joined the San Francisco Police department. Lieutenant Robinson trained at Central station, probationed at Richmond Station and then went to the Bayview where she stayed ten years until her promotion to sergeant. Once promoted to Sergeant she was assigned to Park Station where she worked in both the investigative team and on patrol. Lieutenant Robinson loves her profession, even going so far as to say when she is not at work she misses it. Lieutenant Robinson loves working with her people all her officers and will miss each and every one of them now that she is moving on. We hope Lieutenant Robinson will always consider Park Station home and we look forward to seeing her lead this department.

9 Park Police Station Page 9 Officer of the Month OFFICER DUSTIN DAZA Captain Una Bailey has named Officer Dustin Daza as Officer Of The Month for November. Officer Daza is nominated as our officer of the month for the month of November. Officer Daza who worked patrol swing watch was typically assigned the position of traffic car and did an extraordinary job of keeping the streets of Park District safe. Officer Dustin Daza Officer Daza showed attention to detail and not only responded on calls for service but also ensured areas of traffic concern were addressed whether it was pedestrian safety or vehicular concerns. Unfortunately for Park Station. Officer Daza has just been transferred to the traffic motorcycle unit. We all here at Park Station wish him luck and are confident he will do great in his new assignment. Officer Daza is the father of four children three boys and a girl. One of his sons just arrived last week so he certainly has his hands full. Officer Daza was born and raised in San Francisco and loves the fact that he works as a police officer in his home town. Officer Daza feels it his great honor to serve and protect the people of San Francisco in the city he calls home. Officer Daza joined the department in 2007, the class of 214. He trained at Southern and probationed at Mission Station and his permanent assignment was Park Station. Officer Daza is also in the Army Reserves where he has attained the rank of Captain. Officer Daza loves family vacations and attending his sons baseball games and his daughter s soccer games. He is also a graduate of USF where he earned a degree in politics and philosophy. Thank you Officer Daza for all your great work here at Park Station and we all wish you every success in your new assignment.

10 Park Police Station Page 10 Citizen of the Month Park Station extends a heartfelt Congratulations to David Bolaffi, who has been selected by Captain Bailey as Citizen of the Month for October. David Bolaffi with Mayor London Breed and his father, Andre Bolaffi David Bolaffi has been a longstanding member of Park Station s Community Policing Advisory Board, where he has exhibited dedication and commitment to many dynamic community events such as National Night Out, The Haight-Ashbury Street Fair, and most recently the Cole Street Fair. David Bolaffi was born in New York, grew up in Boston, and he is a devoted Red Sox fan to this day. For many years he played in an Adult Recreation Hockey League, which was dear to his heart In 1989, David Bolaffi moved to San Francisco one month before the Loma Prieta Earthquake. Perhaps in response to such a serious and significant incident, David became interested in Public Safety and later became involved with the ALERT program (Auxiliary Law Enforcement Response Team) where he serves as a Senior Team Lead. David Bolaffi and his ALERT squad can often be seen working public events as an additional public safety resource. David Bolaffi is very passionate about the ALERT program and encourages people to visit the ALERT website: David making a save on the rink

Non- Emergency San Francisco Dispatch Line: Pease call the non- emergency dispatch line ( ) when the scenario does not need immediate response from the San Francisco Police Department. For example, if there is a loud party, a group of loud juveniles loitering in front of your residence, noise complaints, doubled parked vehicles, suspicious activities, or a homeless/nuisance related issue. The non-emergency line is for situations that require the police, but do not require an immediate police response , please call immediately if there is a police, fire, medical, or any other emergency. The purpose of San Francisco's Emergency Telephone System is to provide the community an immediate response of police, fire, or medical personnel for emergency occurrences. For example, crimes or fires that are in-progress, or medical emergencies. The San Francisco Police Department district station telephone numbers and s are not monitored. Questions will be answered in the order we receive them. Station s are not for making police reports nor for reporting a crime. If you need to make a police report, you can call or go to your district police station. If you have an emergency, please call The photo to the right shows dispatchers hard at work

23 Park Police Station Page 23 Park Station s Vision & Values Captain Una Bailey I absolutely love police work and I love all that we as SFPD can do to help victims, solve and prevent crimes, and I am a firm believer in the power of the community. We, as a department, are only as successful as our partnerships with the community. I learned very early in my career how important community involvement is both in solving and preventing crimes and also in the creation of safe desirable neighborhoods. I look forward to building and maintaining community involvement and relationships over the coming years. I know that when we work together, we will create a district that will be safe and sound for all.
