Without our dedicated members, we would never be able to offer the help and support to our surrounding communities. I would like to thank Civitans Julie Andress-Wiltsie, Karen Lindop-Beckwith and Bonnie Ennis for organizing and making our Christmas Party so much fun! Civitan Karen Lindop-Beckwith took home the Christmas Sweater & Sock Award while Civitan Emil Roy shocked everyone when he revealed his cool beast socks. There was no other choice than to give Emil the Coolest Sock Award! Members are still talking about it. Reminder...Tuesday, January 23rd, at our Entertainment/Dinner Meeting, the Civitan Buddies will sit with the member who won them at the Christmas Party. They will show their love & support by doing chores for their Buddy such as: getting their drinks (once coin has been given), serving their dinner plate, opening doors, pulling out chairs, cleaning up after them, and yes, even wiping their chinny-chinchin if they so choose. Yes, that all does sound like FUN Times doesn t it!! 4 Perth Civitan Club annual donation of $ , to support the Perth Good Foodbank to help with the Hinton Auto Group Build a Mountain of Food Campaign. President Bryan Wiltsie presented the cheque to Wendy Quarrington from the Good Foodbank and Hugh Colton from the Hinton Auto Group. Build a Mountain of Food raises funds and food for area food banks. Those food banks benefit the communities of Almonte, Carlteton Place, Perth, Lanark, Smiths Falls, Portland, Westport, Elgin, Merrickville, Athens and Delta. Over the past 10 years, 720,217 lbs. of food and $372, have been donated. The Perth Civitan Buddy Winners are, Bryan Wiltsie, Emil Roy, Karen Lindop-Beckwith, Bob Farnel, Patty Kauffeldt, Jim Wickware, Bonnie Ennis, Jo-Anne Coutts, Laura Renes, Carol Buchannan, Alice Banford and Gayle Truman Note: If The Perth Civitan Buddy or the Winner is not in attendance at the January meeting, it can be used at the next entertainment meeting that they both attend. The club received a 2017/18 banner patch from Civitan International Foundation of Canada Thank you card, received and signed by all the members from the Senior Fitness Class plus a donation Card of Thanks and a donation received from Verna Perkins, she has attended our Seniors Christmas Dinner, borrowed items from our Medical Bank and won the Glass Turkey 1st prize this year. Thank you letter, received from ALS Society for our donation to the 2017 Walk for ALS. Thank you letter, received from St. John Catholic High School for our donation to the School Nutrition Program. Thank you letter, received the Table Community Food Centre, Executive Director Ramsey Hart for our recent donation to the Build a Mountain of Food Campaign Perth Civitan Glenn Moore picture appeared in the Perth Courier in December for our club hosting a coffee break fundraiser for the Alzheimer s Society during our bingo where a Cheque was presented to Bobbi-Jo White. Snow White and the Perth Civitan Elves Float also appeared in the Perth Courier in the December while taking part in the Perth Santa Claus Parade.

6 2017 Glass Turkey Draw Winners 1st prize - Verna Perkins (ticket # 2935) 2nd prize - Mary Ohman (ticket # 2071) 3rd prize - Ron Closs (ticket # 0146) A huge thank you to the following businesses who donated prizes and/or sold tickets Anne's Hair Salon, Barnabe's YIG, Brownlee's Metro, Constellation Brand, Corby's Spirits & Wine, Giant Tiger Perth, Perth Brewery, Silver Lake Smoke Shop, The Butcher's Edge and Top Shelf. Winners received a bonus this year! 1st prize received 2x26oz of vodka instead of 40oz, 2nd prize received 1.5 L of wine instead of 1 L and 3rd prize received 26oz of vodka instead of 12oz. Each year for the past 43 years the Perth Civitan Club has held a 'Glass Turkey Draw' for the winter holiday season. Bob Robinson organized the event this year tickets were printed and sold for $1.00 each. Thank you to Perth Civitan Club members who sold Glass Turkey raffle tickets this year and to everyone who purchased them!

7 Perth Civitans looking awesome in their Christmas Sweaters & Socks.. winner of this contest was Past Perth President Karen Lindop-Beckwith. Christmas Pine Centrepieces were made & donated by Civitan Karen. Six lucky individuals got to take one home. President Bryan Wiltsie and one of his Elf helpers for the night, Perth Civitan Board Director Bonnie Ennis were having so much FUN, they kept breaking up & laughing. For some reason their names were last in the Christmas gift exchange draw... could Santa have been working his magic on the naughty duo? Civitan Emil Roy shocked everyone when revealing his cool beast socks! There was no other choice than to give Emil the Perth Civitan Christmas Coolest Socks Award! Special thanks to Civitan Bob Robinson (organizer of the Glass Turkey Draw event) for donating three bottles of wine for our Christmas Party Draw. The three bottles were extras that were donated by Corby's Spirits & Wine...a gift donation they have donated for years to the Perth Civitan Club.

8 Is the Christmas Bunny catching on? President Bryan Wiltsie is all smiles.. Theresa Farnel wore a Christmas Bunny sweater with a button that said: Believe! Could this go viral?? Civitan Julie Wiltsie, snatched CTN Area Director/ Elf Mary Graham from Civitan Wendy Robinson for the night. If Perth Civitan Smiles were worth their weight in Gold, we d be hiding it from the Notorious Leprechaun!
