3 Band Chatter Page3 March 2018 Hello Tin Lizzies, As most of you know I suffered a stroke on January 30 th, 2018 The best that can be determined is that it was caused by the medicine Prednisone that I took that morning for bronchitis It was one of the scariest things I have had happen to me I went for 12 hours with no feeling what so ever on my right side and I thought that it was going to be a permanent situation; I had difficulty with eating, swallowing, speech, walking etc Thankfully most of my motor functions began returning the next day; after 4 days they released me from the hospital I feel truly lucky and blessed that I am convalescing well Most of the paralysis has subsided and I am now down to trying to regain some strength and stamina I seem to be moving more leisurely and still require the help of a cane at times This ordeal has been exhausting and at this point I am still unable to do very much physically or mentally before exhaustion sets in Juan immediately picked up all the pieces of my life and kept everything moving He had to run the business doing both of our jobs and take care of everything in the house, including having to spoon feed me when I first came home I am where I am today due to his unselfish and extraordinary efforts Soon I hope to be able to work through the day (light duty) and maybe even drive the model T The last year and a half have been very trying for us what with my eye/head injury, the deaths of my brother-in-law and father, now a stroke Through it all we have had fantastic support from our Tin Lizzies family Words do not express our sincere gratitude to all of you for this support Till next month Rob Norberg
